We had the good fortune of connecting with Sarah Ford and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sarah, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Honestly , I did not plan to start my own business. I call it “accidental entrepreneurship” , I love what I do and I love helping others and that drew people to me. More word of mouth and people kept asking for me, I felt at that time it was best for me to branch on my own. I wont lie, it is scary, but anything out of your comfort zone will be scary.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As much as I love skincare and educating others in the proper use of products, my separation from other beauty brands is I promote from the inside out, educating on what foods are beneficial, which foods we should most likely avoid. Skin really runs deep, internally, and from my background of being diagnosed with PCOS and leaky gut , I really had to challenge myself with my everyday lifestyle routine and that’s what my main passion is to share with others. Skin starts from within. The challenge was rough, the most important part of a lifestyle is having a routine and boundaries for your wellbeing.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There is so much to do in LA! If it was a long weekend trip, we would take a hike to Griffith park, grab a late brunch at Mauros cafe, delicious! I love Universal studios! So probably go there after! The following day visit the cute farmers market at Mothers Beach in Marina del Rey and lay out for the day at the beach, it has paddle board, kayaking, and all the fun stuff at that beach! Then take a cute short walk through Abbot Kinney and grab an early dinner at The Tasting Kitchen, they have the best homemade pasta. Lastly, Sunday the vintage market for shopping on Mel rose 🙂 find the cutest vintage finds and spend the day having a picnic there where there is music and fresh juices, for dinner, my favorite place , Badmashh! Of course that such a short time because there is so much to do in LA, we haven’t touched Malibu yet!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to dedicate my shoutout to someone who inspires me as a business woman, Rachel Roff, found and CEO of Urban Skin Rx. I worked under her for several years and gained so much knowledge behind her and saw her growth as an esthetician / business woman. Also, to my YouTube days of watching Tony Robbins, and Oprah Winfrey !
