Meet Sarah Medina | Orange County Photographer
We had the good fortune of connecting with Sarah Medina and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sarah, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
Having a marketing background. Marketing is everything and I’m very thankful that I enjoy that side of it as well. I love data, writing, content creation, and all the things that come with marketing a business. I run a social media management business as well and both go really hand in hand.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Hi, I’m Sarah and I’m an Orange County Photographer. I’m based in Southern California but I’m so willing to travel! I specialize in portrait, couple, and event photography but love taking pictures of anything and everything. I love black and white photos so you will always get some included in your final gallery. I’m super friendly so people always tell me that I make them feel comfortable during their photoshoot! I love 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 and get excited over the littlest of things. I also offer videography services with my boyfriend, Matthew, for when you want some moving memories as well. It has not been easy but it is so rewarding and I absolutely love what I do. Life is too short not to capture those special moments which is why I love helping you do so!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would definitely have fun paddle boarding or kayaking at the beautiful beaches. For sure explore some downtown areas; go into cute little coffeeshops, thrift, and try all the sweet treats. We would definitely have to have a full Disney Day eating all the good food and catching some fun shows. In LA we would go to the Griffith Observatory and explore the most we can downtown. We would go hiking and experience the fun night-life as well. Maybe even book a helicopter ride at sunset or paraglide! In my opinion, there are so many fun experiences in the area both in nature and inside. Plus, so much delicious food with a variety of different cuisines. It’s such an amazing area to be in!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am so thankful for my boyfriend, Matthew. He has always encouraged and motivated me throughout all the ups and down in my business and in life. I honestly wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for him so I’m immensely lucky to have such a supportive person in my life. Matthew is also my second shooter and talented videographer for weddings and other events so he helps me in that way as well. I couldn’t have done this without his encouragement, support, and love.
