We had the good fortune of connecting with Savannah Doss and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Savannah, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Supposedly you’re supposed to do one thing everyday that scares you, that’s how you leave your comfort zone and grow. Choosing to be a full time model and actor in LA was/ is scary as sh*t !

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
So I started out in the industry at a young age. My parents knew I was a performer but I let my shyness get the best of me and didn’t really like going for roles when they’d take me to casting calls. Jump forward a few years and freshman year of high school I joined the show choir. From there my shell was somewhat more broken and I fell in love with not only being a singer but a performer. I ended up being accepted into my dream performing arts college where I got to study acting, ballet, vocal training etc. It was the hardest program ever but I learned so much about my craft. I ended up taking a break from performing and transferring to a 4 year university to study marketing and get my business degree in it. When the pandemic hit in 2020 I realized I now had a lot of free time so I joined a casting website I saw on a TikTok ad. I got booked for my first music video the next day and was obsessed with being on a set. From there I started doing work for skincare, dating apps, YouTube, TV shows and so many other cool projects. It was so intriguing to me how different and fun each day was and how many different interests I was getting to indulge in.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love Lady Byrd cafe! It’s one of my favorite places to visit. It’s this cute little restaurant in Echo Park that has these really cool mini greenhouses for people to sit and dine in. I’m also a huge fan of rooftops so Mama’s shelter and The Broken Shaker are always a vibe. You also can’t go wrong with Mel’s Diner.  I love the retro theme and their burgers and shakes are the best.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Firstly, I’d like to thank my wonderful friend Elijah Howard. He’s the reason I get to do this interview and honestly he’s one of the most amazing supportive people I’ve gotten to know and I’m so very grateful for him. Also everyone check out his music and YouTube channel. He’s iconic and so talented . I’d like to thank my parents for always being so supportive of each and every one of my endeavors. They’ve  always shown their love and unwavering faith in me and I have them to thank for so much in my life . Lastly, all the amazing people I’ve met the last few years in the industry have truly been such a blessing. You all inspire and motivate me so much. The support we all have for each other is such a comfort , and in such a tough industry so much more important and needed then they may realize.
