Meet Sayeh Goel | Speech Language Pathologist, Myofunctional Therapist, Owner/Clinical Director of SG Speech Therapy, Inc.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sayeh Goel and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sayeh, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I’m originally from a family of immigrants—my parents came to America along at extremely young ages, without their parents. They started from scratch, working to build a life here, and eventually became successful business owners themselves. Watching them navigate challenges and persevere through hard work and dedication has had a huge impact on who I am today.
Their journey taught me the value of resilience and determination, as well as the importance of taking risks and believing in yourself. My parents always emphasized the importance of education and having a strong work ethic, which ultimately shaped my drive to create something of my own with SG Speech Therapy. Their entrepreneurial spirit definitely rubbed off on me, and I’m proud to follow in their footsteps by building my own successful business, knowing firsthand that nothing is impossible with dedication and hard work. I couldn’t be more proud of the practice that I have built!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At SG Speech Therapy, I’m proud to offer a warm, personalized approach to pediatric speech therapy that focuses on the whole child. What sets us apart is our commitment to creating fun, engaging sessions that help children make real progress while feeling confident and supported. I wanted to create a space that both the children I work with and their families enjoyed coming to. I specialize in early intervention, articulation, AAC, stuttering/fluency, myofunctional therapy, developmental differences such as autism spectrum disorder, late talkers, expressive and receptive language disorders, and social skills. I run a play based and neurodiversity affirming practice. I’m also deeply passionate about empowering parents through coaching to be part of their child’s communication journey.
Getting to where I am today certainly wasn’t easy. Starting a private practice required not only building my clinical expertise but also learning how to manage a business, which can be a big shift for many speech-language pathologists. There were challenges, like navigating the logistics of insurance and growing my client base, but I overcame them by staying focused on what matters most: helping children find their voice and reach their full potential.
One of the lessons I’ve learned along the way is the importance of building relationships. From collaborating with pediatricians to supporting parents, connection and communication are at the heart of what I do. I’m also a firm believer in staying flexible—each child is unique, and I tailor my approach to meet their individual needs.
What I want the world to know about SG Speech Therapy is that we’re here not just to provide services but to create lasting, positive change in children’s lives. I’m excited about the future of my practice and where we’re headed, including expanding our team to bring even more support to families in our community.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting, we’d have the best time exploring the area. I’d start with breakfast somewhere by the beach, enjoying the oceanfront view and some delicious food, followed by a beautiful hike in Solstice Canyon where we could see waterfalls and explore the ruins. Afterward, we’d head to Malibu Country Mart for shopping and lunch at Malibu Farm on the pier. We’d wrap up the day by relaxing on the beach, soaking in the sunset.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’m incredibly grateful to so many people who have helped shape my journey. First and foremost, my family has been a constant source of love and support, always encouraging me to pursue my passion for speech therapy. I also want to give a special shoutout to the amazing pediatricians and other professionals I collaborate with, whose expertise and referrals have been vital in helping my practice grow.
In terms of mentorship, I’ve been fortunate to have had wonderful colleagues along the way who guided me as I started my private practice. And, of course, I couldn’t have done this without the incredible families I work with—watching their children thrive is the biggest motivation to keep pushing forward.
Lastly, I want to thank my team and the volunteers who help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Their dedication and hard work make it possible for SG Speech Therapy to deliver the best care to our clients. This journey has truly been a team effort!
