We had the good fortune of connecting with Scott Ramsay and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Scott, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I have been a performing guitar player in the city of Los Angeles for years and although I’ve been hired on for tours as well as gigs around town, I finally decided to start my own business in the area of tribute bands.
Obviously my time is important and it’s great to gain more recognition as well as income from doing tributes than the normal cover bands. With the variety of bands that I playin, it also has inspired me to become a better well-rounded guitar player not just rock but Latin and pop as well.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As a musician by night and also a special education teacher by day. This provides my life with a really good balance. Not to mention I’m very blessed to have both of these careers keeping me in a positive frame of mind
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Favorite places are varied. Just like my Scottish parents, I don’t find much fun in resting I’d rather be doing some up activity. If it’s not for mountain biking in the San Gabriel mountains I’m usually bodyboarding at t Street in San Clemente
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I think I can’t really take all the success that my bands have had if it wasn’t for the support for my entire organization of musicians that follow me into these tribute endeavors. Under the name tribute tribe, I have to thank all of them but this all wouldn’t be possible
