Meet Sebastian Siren | Techno Artist | Creative Director | Thought Leader

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sebastian Siren and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sebastian, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
I see risk as doorways I choose to walk through with intention. Most people meet risk with the survival-brain chorus: What if it fails? What if I’m not a fit? What if it all falls apart? I’ve had those thoughts too. But over time, I realized the same instinct designed to keep me “safe” was also keeping me small. So I reframed risk as a values-aligned decision rather than a threat. I feel into an opportunity, measure it against my vision and my non-negotiables, and if it resonates, I choose faith over fear—taking the leap by believing in myself. That simple shift—from catastrophizing to alignment—has fueled every level-up in my life.
When I look back at my most pivotal turning points—moving cities, expanding from “just music” into a full-self brand, investing in collaborators and structure—each one began with a quiet sense of this feels right and a promise to myself: I’ll learn to swim. It isn’t always sunshine and daisies, but with the challenges come growth, learning, and, ultimately, the expansion risk makes possible.
For me, risk isn’t recklessness; it’s a disciplined trust in my intuition, my values, and my capacity to grow. It’s listening for inner guidance beneath the noise and asking a better question: What’s the best that could happen? That mindset keeps me in motion—and motion is where opportunities and expansion meet you: community, momentum, and the moments that shift your trajectory.
Risk, ultimately, is a portal. You step through not because outcomes are guaranteed, but because who you become on the other side is the person capable of carrying the vision further. When I align risk with intuition, values, and long-term direction, it becomes clarifying—even energizing. It’s how I keep choosing my own life, again and again.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
AI’m a techno artist, creative director, and thought leader building something bigger than nightlife: a living, breathing brand rooted in the philosophy of choosing your life on purpose. My work lives at the intersection of sound, story, and self-expansion. In practice, I take you on a high-BPM sonic journey that gets your body moving, connects you with a like-minded community, and leaves you falling asleep smiling ear to ear, crying tears of joy, or having amazing sex—sometimes all three. I bring out your bad bitch energy and awaken your inner sensuality for life—music as ritual, celebration, connection, and self-permission. Techno is what brings us together, but it’s our shared values of self-expansion and intentional living that bind us as a community rooted in meaning far deeper than just raving.
Beyond the DJ booth, I’m driven to connect with my community by expressing my whole self and full range of passions. I don’t want to be one thing; I want to be a whole thing. The brand folds in philosophy, spirituality, fashion, and the practical mechanics of becoming your best self. It’s the same current that runs through my mixes, essays, and conversations: permission, discipline, and joy. If you engage with me and my community, you can expect high standards, real warmth, and a steady invitation to level up—with your art, your relationships, your body, your business, and your joy.
I build sonic temples for transformation—high-energy, emotionally intelligent techno designed to move bodies and unlock something ancient and tender within. The dance floor becomes a ritual: the kick as heartbeat, the crowd breathing as one being, the melody weaving through hundreds of hearts and minds at once. I’m intentional about the arc—where we begin, where we peak, where we land—because I’m not just here to entertain you; I’m here to change your chemistry for the better. The goal is that you leave more yourself than when you arrived: unarmored, connected, lit from the inside. What sets my work apart is that the music is only one facet of the experience.
I’m actively expanding into a full-self brand that holds philosophy, self-expansion, spirituality, and fashion alongside the sound—because my people aren’t just here to party; they’re hungry to evolve. We talk about values and discipline. We talk about pleasure and embodiment. We talk about building lives that can hold both our talent and our peace. I’m proud that the more I show up as my whole self, the more clearly my community finds me—and the more powerful the art becomes in return.
How did I get here professionally? By following my inner sparks and letting curiosity lead—even when the path isn’t as clear as I’d like—I ignore perfection and choose to put myself out there. I’ve learned to iterate, refine, try new approaches, and pick up new skills, letting the brand breathe and evolve alongside me. I invested in behind-the-scenes foundations—systems, a roadmap, strategy—so the creative could soar on something sturdy. That combination of intuition and infrastructure is my rhythm section: trust and build, build and trust. I’ve also opened myself to collaborators and partners who share my vision and passion for expanding together as we grow, evolve, and build our creative businesses.
I treat novelty like a training ground. Stepping outside my comfort zone—new mediums, new genres, new expressions of self—creates fresh perspectives, which in turn fuels better art, richer conversations, and deeper thought. And because I don’t believe hyper-independence is a successful strategy, I keep weaving community into the process: mentorship, feedback loops, and rooms full of people on parallel journeys. Together is faster—and together is way more fun.
Was it easy? Yes and no. Most actions are simple—it’s the consistency that wears you down. There are quiet seasons when momentum stalls—periods I now see as rest and recalibration. There are algorithms that don’t care, and doubt that creeps in. I overcome challenges with delusional optimism, discipline, community, and a beginner’s mindset. My rituals keep me moving whether or not I “feel like it.” Community—the people in the arena, as Brené Brown calls them—keep me honest and encouraged. A beginner’s mindset helps me release the performance of perfection so I can stay curious and keep learning. I’ve also embraced interdependence. Hyper-independence is overrated; collaboration compounds growth across disciplines. Asking for help doesn’t dilute your genius; it multiplies it. Offering help does the same. That’s how I’ve navigated plateaus and pivots: keep the heart open, keep the standards high, invite the right people in, and keep going—together.
The lessons I’ve learned along the way: First: balance or bust. Mind, body, and spirit have to move together, or something pays the price. I’m actively recommitting to the body—mobility, strength, recovery—so I can hold the future I’m building without burning out. Second: protect your energy. Share your dreams and ideas with your core circle, not the cheap seats; not every vision needs to be revealed while it’s still forming. Maintain high standards for who you allow in your circle. Third: stay a student. Curiosity outmuscles perfectionism and ego—and it makes the process a lot more fun. When I get frustrated with the process or feel like creative energy has left, I try to pause and ask what my muse (Gwen Stefani, circa 1995) what she’d do, and she’d say in her iconic bubbly yet chill encouraging voice, “just have fun!”.
Finally: authenticity scales. The more of your true self you put into the world, the easier it is for your people to recognize you, rally around you, and grow with you. Brand is just identity in motion—values expressed repeatedly over time. Live that out loud, and the right rooms will open.
What I want the world to know about my brand and story: You don’t have to be “just one thing.” You’re allowed to evolve publicly, to experiment, to re-author your life again and again. My brand is about that permission—and the discipline that sustains it: risk as a doorway, values as a compass, and community as the engine. I want you to feel both seen and challenged: seen in your complexity, challenged to organize your life around what matters. When you create in ruthless alignment with your values, your art and business grow strong enough to hold everything you’re becoming. That’s the project. That’s the party. Come as your whole self. We’re not here to stagnate—we’re here for never-ending expansion and to have tons of fun along the way.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
LA is a big place with so much to explore, so here are a handful of my favorite spots to check out as you plan your week in the City of Angels:
Morning reset: Elysian Park — an urban hike with gorgeous views of DTLA
Midday feast: Grand Central Market (DTLA) — beloved local vendors, craft beer, and a sensory overload in the best way
Arts stroll: Arts District DTLA — boutiques and bites; grab a German beer and grilled sausages at Wurstküche, or book Manuela for a garden-patio dinner
Golden-hour glam: Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel Lobby Bar — dress up for martinis in Old Hollywood ambiance before a show nearby
Live-music fix: Hotel Café for rising artists (celeb sightings happen; play it cool) or The Viper Room for rock history and grit or go big at the Hollywood Bowl for an iconic concert
After-hours: Slipper Clutch on Broadway in DTLA — cocktails up front; punk and pool tables in the back where strangers become friends
Go dance: Check Resident Advisor (RA) for techno parties — from underground warehouse vibes to the mainstay club scene; find your groove and dance the night away
DTLA bonus: Don’t sleep on downtown itself — dense with family-owned gems and the strongest neighborhood-community energy I’ve felt in LA. A guided food tour is also a great way to eat well, meet locals, and soak up history while you explore.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’m dedicating this one to Elizabeth Gilbert’s Big Magic. In it, Gilbert treats ideas like living energies searching for a host and invites us to “seduce the muse” with ritual and discipline—and I took that personally. I literally get dressed for a hot date with inspiration: favorite outfit, hair on point, fragrance, some bling. I set the space, light candles, cue the playlist, flip on Do Not Disturb, and sit down like, “Hi, table for two.” That ritual shifted me from erratic bursts to a steady, joyful—and productive—practice.
I’m not chasing lightning anymore; I’m building rituals for creation that invite inspiration instead of waiting for it. The more reliably I show up, the more reliably ideas know where to find me. It’s improved everything—output, calm, clarity, voice—and it’s made the business side smoother because the practice carries me even when motivation runs quiet. I show up; the muses show up; we split the tab and tip big.
Every time I sit down with the muses, something always comes through. It may take a minute to find the flow, but the energies arrive. You’ll be amazed at what you create when you dedicate the time and show up ready.
