We had the good fortune of connecting with Sequoia Roberts-Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sequoia, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success of my business is being able to inspire self-love, self-care, and be able to vibe with not only the customers, but the community around me. I have a unique gift for picking eye-popping accessories that brings out that radiant glow, that my costumers already have. I’m almost definite that while your out doing your daily tasks, someone will give you a compliment, and say that’s “Kute sis”. To me, it is very important to make sure my customers are happy with thier purchase, We talk about whatever is on our minds, all while enjoying a great shopping experience. I have much success with my brand because i’m absolutely, human.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Our brand is dedicated to advocating for the fight of mental-health. We understand that in other for a person to want to go out and face the world that person must first have happiness with their ‘Self”. Our purpose is to help our customers build their self-esteem by helping them look and feel good with our gemstone accessories, so they can inspire others around them to love, have patience, and bring good energy/juju everywhere they choose to venture. We specialize in “Colour Therapy’ to help promote inner peace. Different colors help energize your mind, body, and spirit. We choose gemstones and accessories, that will not only be a conversation piece but plant the seeds of encouragement, empowerment, and spark the optimism in you!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The first place I would take a friend from out of town would be, Leimert Park,Ca.. This place is the heartbeat in African American community, This is where you can find arts, music , theatre, shopping, food and a black utopia like no other. Next, we would have to hit Venice to embrace the beach, and the boardwalk. Next, go to my most favorite restaurants: Madea’s,, (Los Angeles, CA breakfast cafe), El Chollo’s ( Mid -Wilshire,Ca ) great Mexican food, a fancy spot Yamashiro, (Hollywood, Ca,)Japaness food, and end with dessert at We Cupcake (Inglewood,CA) alcohol- infused. Last, we would probably end the night at WII Spa (Wilshire, Ca) with great massages and Gemstone healing.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have been fortunate to be bless with this business with the Grace of God. I prayed for a way for me to be able to enjoy what I do for a living and give back to my community around me. I have been blessed with a wonderful loving husband, and two beautiful kids that help support me in every goal i make. I’m surround by business like-mined people who want me to win, including a host of family member and friends, that continue to spread word of my business, as well as coming to support me at my events. The bond, love, and support is always there, and that is what continues to be a driving force and motovation for me not to quit.
