Meet Shah Brielle | Singer, Songwriter & Film Director

We had the good fortune of connecting with Shah Brielle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shah, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I pursued an artistic and creative career because of my deep passion for music and the arts. From a young age, I was always surrounded by music, particularly through my experiences in a choir, which cultivated a lifelong love and joy for the art. Naturally, I am a very creative and artistic person. I used to teach and recite spoken word poetry, which allowed me to express my creativity in different ways. My involvement in learning about different genres of music, such as rock, r&b, and jazz, has enabled me to write in any genre. I believe that music is a God-given talent and purpose for me. Through my music, I aim to spread love and joy to others. It’s not just a career for me; it’s a way to fulfill my purpose and share my passion with the world.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’ve poured my heart and soul into my music career for over 15 to 20 years, finding immense joy and fulfillment along the way. From touring internationally in Canada to releasing a professional live album, each milestone has been a testament to my dedication and passion for my craft.

While the journey hasn’t been without its challenges, I’ve learned valuable lessons from overcoming adversity. There have been moments where I’ve faced hardships and encountered individuals who sought to exploit my talent. However, these experiences have only fueled my determination to navigate the industry with integrity and resilience.

Now, I’m thrilled about my forthcoming project, ‘I-65 South.’ This album is more than just a collection of songs; it’s a deeply intimate exploration of personal growth, love, and overcoming adversity. Each track serves as a page torn from my own diary, reflecting on the highs and lows of my journey. My hope is that these heartfelt songs resonate deeply with listeners who have experienced similar emotions and challenges, forging a powerful connection through the universal language of music.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
As a proud native of Chicago and current resident of Vegas, I’m thrilled to blend the best of both cities into an unforgettable week-long itinerary.

For a week-long trip in Chicago, I’d start by taking my best friend to Navy Pier, where we can enjoy boat rides and lakeside festivities. Then, we’d explore the city’s beautiful beaches and indulge in some authentic Greek cuisine in Greektown. Of course, we can’t miss out on the iconic deep dish pizza experience, along with a trip to Uncle Remus’s for their famous fried chicken smothered in delicious Chicago mild sauce. After satisfying our taste buds, we’d embark on a shopping spree along the Magnificent Mile and cruise down Lakeshore Drive for breathtaking views of the city.

In Vegas, the entertainment capital, we’d catch a world-class residency show, like Adele or another renowned performer. We’d also explore the vibrant nightlife and dine at upscale restaurants in select casinos for exquisite culinary experiences. Vegas is famous for its dazzling musical theater productions, so we’d definitely immerse ourselves in those. And let’s not forget about the outdoor adventures! We’d embark on a thrilling hike in the scenic mountains surrounding Vegas, adding a touch of nature to our glamorous itinerary.

Each destination holds a special place in my heart, making this journey a unique fusion of homecoming and adventure.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a heartfelt shoutout to my husband, who has been one of the only people to truly believe in my dreams and see my potential. He decided to invest in me because he believes in my talent as much as I do, and he knows that others will enjoy and appreciate what I have to offer. His unwavering support—mentally, spiritually, and financially—has been invaluable. I also want to recognize my children, who are my constant muse and motivation. They inspire me to write from a place of love and to pursue my passion so that I can provide a wonderful life for them. Watching me live out my dreams is, I believe, a powerful motivation for them as well. Lastly, I want to thank my producer, who has been instrumental in helping me develop a new sound and supporting me in improving my craft. My family and my production team have played crucial roles in the advancement of my career.
