We had the good fortune of connecting with Shakir Dzheyranov and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shakir, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
For Hello Robo it’s definitely a mix of persistence, a deep passion for design, and a constant eagerness to experiment.

Persistence: it’s about not giving up even when the odds are against us. Then there’s our love for our craft and solving business problems with design. And of course, our willingness to experiment. This isn’t just about trying new things for the sake of it, but rather pushing boundaries, and not being afraid to fail because that’s how we learn and grow. This approach is deeply ingrained in me as an entrepreneur and it’s a philosophy that is at the core of Hello Robo.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Starting this business was just me in my home office, dreaming big. Now, there are five of us, and we’re still growing. Honestly, the journey from there to here is a bit of a blur, I don’t remember how i got here, haha.

It hasn’t been easy, though, and it still isn’t. The first big lesson for me was realizing that running a successful company is never a smooth ride. You’re going to make thousands of mistakes. For someone who used to obsess over getting everything perfect and avoiding mistakes, that was tough to accept. But it’s been one of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Whenever I have friends over in LA, I recommend them to try non-cliche things like going to East LA for the best tacos. Bring cash of course. Then drive back to Mid city and hit Das Bunker. Don’t be afraid of goths, they are very peaceful and friendly crowd. You gotta wear all black, stainless steel and leather preferred. And to finish your night go to Jumbo’s Clown Room in Hollywood, and don’t forget about the cash.

Most probably you will have hangover the next morning, but there’s Ktown Pho for that.
