We had the good fortune of connecting with Tess Palma-Martinez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tess, what do you attribute your success to?
Authenticity! Aligning with my authentic self has been the most important factor behind the success of my brand. When I began to let go of the societal expectations and personality masks, I was able to connect with my true essence. This is when my path became more clear – to transition out of working as a private chef for celebrities and step into my role as an Intuition + Authenticity Mentor. When we resist reality through the lens of our past, we are blocking the flow of life and we become disconnected from our true authentic selves.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?

I created Completely Golden to encapsulate my belief that we can become more aligned with our highest self by prioritizing body, mind and spirit through our lifestyle. As an Intuition + Authenticity Mentor, I help my clients connect to their authentic power, align with their intuition and ultimately manifest a completely golden life.

I’m excited for the launch of my upcoming course, as well as the upcoming monthly community membership, where we will dive deeper into the process of aligning to your authentic highest-self through meditation, nutrition, and personal exploration.

After I transitioned from working as a private chef for celebrities in LA, I hit a personal rock bottom. While the allure and creativity of this position was enchanting, I was also exploring spiritual interests and practices in my free time. I began to align with my authenticity and trust the direction in which my life was unfolding. My intuition was the compass, guiding me through this massive pivot. I received initial resistance from the people in my life because from their perspective, I was successful and established in an exciting career, but I was being called to transform. I had to allow myself the space to change. Similar to a caterpillar in the chrysalis, I had to go through the murky unknown- like when the caterpillar liquifies before becoming a butterfly. Everything became clear on the other side and it’s been amazing to work with clients, helping them reclaim their power by connecting to their authentic highest self.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Day 1 When my friend arrived, I would take them to Erewhon for dinner and to pick up snacks or grocery items that they need for the week. We would then have a restful night catching up!

Day 2 I would take my friend to Malibu. We would explore El Matador Beach, take a hike at Corral Canyon Loop and stop at the Malibu Village Shops.

Day 3 would be all about Hollywood! The first stop would be Beachwood Canyon Cafe for lunch, then a hike up to the Hollywood sign. These adventures would be followed by a drive by the Walk of Fame to see the Hollywood stars and a stroll down Rodeo Drive.

Day 4 would consist of a day trip to Joshua Tree State Park, stopping for lunch in Yucca Valley.

During Day 5, we would stay local and head to Venice, having lunch at Cafe Gratitude. After lunch, we would pick up an elixir from Moon Juice and walk down Rose Ave to the beach. For dinner, we would head to Gjusta.

Day 6 would be a final day trip to Chino Hills to visit the Hindu Temple.

Day 7 We would get brunch at Great White before they depart.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
It’s been a series of events and people who have and continue to influence me, including my beautiful mom, yoga teacher training, therapy, ACoA, To Be Magnetic and going to nutrition school!
