We had the good fortune of connecting with Shani Moslehi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shani, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
Every morning I wake up early, and before getting out of bed, I spend some time on my social media and update it. I also have a habit of being consistent, organized, and reliable! I answer emails promptly and follow up with people who ask questions. I am always in a giving mood! I help people out not to be rewarded, but because it is in my nature.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I founded an organization that brings people together in a community that is so far away from its original home. They have to rebuild their lives, careers, and business. As a professional networking organization, we come together often, and find people with whom we can do business, or simply have them in our lives as mentors, friends, and power partners.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live in Southern Orange County, so I would start with a visit to Laguna Beach and dining at a cute restaurant on Forest Avenue. Then, we would head over to Beverly Hills where we would eat Gelatos at Fatamorgana and window shop on Rodeo Drive. We would stay the night in Santa Monica and take a walking tour of Santa Monica and Venice Beach. Before heading back to Orange County, we would have a drink at Jameson’s Pub on Main Street in Santa Monica. Next up, we would go to Disneyland and either enjoy the park or just walk around and visit shops downtown. We could stop at Ballast Point Brewing for drinks and appetizers. From there, we could visit Newport Beach’s main beach and eat sushi at Nabu Lido Island. Lastly, we would visit the Mission in San Juan Capistrano and eat lunch at the Ramos House cafe in town. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have been very lucky in life and have wonderful family and friends who believe in me, trust me, and support me in any way they can. However, the one person who is a constant support in my life is my husband, Majid and my adult sons who are the positive forces that drive me. My role model is my father who was an attorney and a successful businessman. He later followed his passion and wrote the first Azari encyclopedias. He dedicated the last 20 years of his life to researching and collecting information about his native language. He taught me that everything is possible in life as long as I stay positive, disciplined, and organized.
