We had the good fortune of connecting with Sha’Rese Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sha’Rese, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Im still figuring this out! I went from living a whole entrepreneurial life for a little over a year. It was great! Had it’s ups and downs but I was more consistent with everything! I was getting things done! I had a routine and all

Now I have way more on my plate, I’m back to work to bring in more funds to do more and I am trying. But what I’ve learned is that I know myself and my duties. So I bring in help, I separate my business from my passion and prioritize. I have calendars EVERYWHERE and I make sure to have set days that are for me. If I can’t function then nothing is getting done so those set days are important.

So like I said, I’m prioritizing more and once I get my decent good flow things balance out! I like how we are in a bit of a more virtual world. that has made things a lot easier.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
So my art showcases the confidence and beauty of women like me. Growing up I was never confident about myself especially my body. Through my modeling career I want to show women that you are beautiful and height and size does not matter. I want to be the mood board lol or the blue print. It was not easy getting here. Mentally, I was all over the place really trying to establish who I am and who I want to be. I learned that I had to address a lot with myself in order to be successful. This path is not easy. Checking in with myself and staying on top of where I am mentally is always a priority. If my mind isn’t in it then there is no purpose.
There are times where you want to quit or just go into hiding because you are either unmotivated, drained, or feeling discouraged. That was my biggest challenge. But when you are in love with what you do you’re quickly reminded of why you’re here and how you got here. Always have faith in you and you have to be your number one fan.
I want the world to know that I am here to leave an impact. In some shape way or form I want to leave a lasting impression of inspiration to those who just want to make it. Keep going.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Brunch is always the first and best thing to do!! I love a good brunch, amazing champagne, good eats, and a cute fit is top tier. I would also take a trip to a nice museum. I love exploring the city so anything and everything is perfect. I love going on picnics so I am most certainly doing that!! It has to be a nice day as well!!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would definitely need to give a million thanks to my agency director. She truly works hard for everyone. Having someone believe in you keeps you moving. She has helped build me mentally and physically for the past two years.

My friends are so supportive and have motivated me in ways that I can’t put into the words. Truly without their love and encouragement I am nothing. They are my heartbeat.

Lastly my dad, he has built me in such a way that keeps me grounded. I feel like he helped me to develop a strong core and determination.
