We had the good fortune of connecting with Sheel Bhuta and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sheel, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success is my passion for being of service & empowering the community.
Everything I do is not just my work, but my life purpose. Knowing that what I do is who I was born to be inspires me whenever I seem to hit a roadblock and more importantly, it keeps me in a state of joy & gratitude to do this work.
My journey of becoming a healer and awakening my gifts started out of necessity. I was bedridden with illnesses and became allergic to most medications so I needed to get and learn holistic modalities to simply survive.
I am my first client and through my own results, I became more confident and motivated to work on others.
I know what it’s like to live with depression and an autoimmune disease. I know what it’s like to live in despair and I also simultaneously know what it’s like to thrive through it with my own work.
I have successfully healed my depression, anemia, asthma, degenerative spine disease and have reversed a majority of the symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis.
I achieved balance. I am happy & healthy against all odds and I am here to serve as proof that it is possible for everyone else as well.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I became a healer because I desperately needed healing. I overcame the quicksand of depression and an eating disorder through my spiritual journey. I then discovered the wide range of holistic modalities to help me heal & regenerate my body as well.
I believe in taking medicine, as medicine has saved my life plenty of times but it is the holistic modalities that has helped me when my body rejected it. The holistic healing and alternative therapies helped ween off medicine I could take, relieve all of my pain, and achieve normalcy in my life as a whole.
It is rewarding knowing that the pain I underwent has paved the way to creating something that alleviates other’s suffering. I hope my work leads to the avoidance of it all together.
We live in a world today that only takes action as damage control which keeps us all in a loop of suffering.
What I do is preventative measures and fortifies a person’s foundation so that he or she can withstand anything life throws at them.
My work includes being a Children’s Emotional Intelligence/Mindfulness Teacher, Holistic Health Practitioner, Medical Medium, Intuitive Life Counselor, Meditation Facilitator and a Breathwork Coach. I am also the Head of Programming for spaceMVMNT, an organization that provides resources for mental, physical and spiritual wellness.
I created the children’s emotional intelligence program through by combining my holistic healing background with my experience working with foster children, children with special needs and my time as a preschool teacher. I wanted to create something that I needed as a child. I want children to realize that embracing their emotions, anchoring them and creating connections through their authentic expression is their greatest resource. I want every single person to be empowered by their unique expression and be capable of connection with others because they are truly connected to themselves.
As a holistic healer, I specialize in body regeneration and mind, body & spirit recalibration. I make the process as easy as possible. I combine everything I am certified in: Ayurveda & Yoga Therapy, Acupressure, Crystal Healing, Reiki Master, Pranic Healer, Breathwork, Sujok Therapy & Meditation Guidance with everything I channel intuitively.
My gifts as a medical medium opened up as I became sick. Some of my ailments were not even mine, they were things I absorbed from other people. My gift allows me to transmute ailments for people so that they feel better, but in the beginning, it meant that I would get their sickness. This was my greatest struggle in taking this on as a profession because my physical body couldn’t handle the repercussions of doing the healings on others.
I did a lot of training in strengthening my own energy and mastering being about to transmute other’s ailments instead of absorbing them. It has helped me do the same with my own diagnosis which has been incredible. I now am able to teach other gifted individuals how to do this themselves.
What’s interesting is how fateful my entire journey has been.
I originally went to school for Sports & Entertainment Broadcasting and Public Relations. I wanted to be a sideline reporter and then transition into working for a team or agent.
It was definitely difficult quitting being “normal” and going for what I knew felt right for me.
I was great at in that field but it didn’t fulfill me whereas whenever I work with children, do healing work or do a reading on someone, I am overwhelmed with joy.
It was nerve-wrecking sharing my transition into the psychic healing world both in person and on social media because I was afraid I’d be seen as weird or crazy.
In the beginning, a lot of people thought I was crazy but my gifts are so tangible as they deal with body ailments that everyone quickly realized it was legitimate.
I’m so grateful I was courageous in publicly sharing my transition because my sports network who continued to follow my life became my first clients.
Some of the professional athletes I worked with were non-believers in the mystical healing world prior to working with me and now are the biggest advocates of it because of their experience with me.
It was heart-warming for me to witness, because that’s not just about me, I helped open up a world of magic for them.
I specialize in body regeneration and mental agility which yields incredible results with professional athletes.
I absolutely love sports so it is amazing that I was able to transition careers and stay in the same field doing what I love.
A problem I ran into while building my career is how many people tried to get me to stop pursuing things. I am involved in various fields and many people told me to stay in one niche market but I am glad I let myself stay active in everything.
I am so glad I joined the spaceMVMNT team as their Head of Programming so we could create initiatives for wellness.
I am so glad I kept doing classes for children.
I am so glad I continue to take healing & reading clients.
I am so glad I continue to teach classes and courses.
Everyone wants you to fit a mold, but the thing is none of us ever will.
What lights your soul up and everything you’re interested in is a calling. So yes, I am involved in various things and sometimes it is overwhelming but more over, it’s fulfilling.
I absolutely can handle all of it simply because I want to. So anyone who happens to be a multi-faceted person- do not let anyone tell you to stick to a lane because maybe your lane is doing multiple things. While everything I do seems different, they all fit into the umbrella of healing and so it is “one thing”
One of the most important things I’ve learned as a healer, is that I need to constantly fill my own cup. I need to lead by example and follow my truth every single step of the way. Every healing I do, every reading I give and each class I facilitate is me putting forward my energy and it is my responsibility to ensure what I give is of the highest vibration. My work is fortified by own well being.
Living with Multiple Sclerosis as a healer has been an incredible blessing because I am my greatest case study and my body also serves as a compass. I can relate to the people I work with because I have experienced it all first hand and I can tell people what works with absolute confidence because I have tried it myself.
I am learning more every single day. I am strengthening my practice with each person I work with.
I always push myself to expand in ways that I can impact the most people. It’s absolutely terrifying sometimes. I exclusively did one on one sessions for years and now that I started doing group healings and breath work sessions, I get nervous because I am expending & absorbing more energy. I am always pleasantly surprised how fluid and powerful each class is and it motivates me to keep pushing the bar of my own practices.
My journey of becoming a healer and monetizing it into a career has been incredibly serendipitous. My story has been a slap in the face that fate is absolutely real. Every teacher I’ve met literally popped into my life as soon as I was ready and now I am so excited to be that guide for other people.
In life, we are both students and teachers, and I love every single moment of learning and then paying it forward.
My goal isn’t to be the best healer the world has ever seen, but to be someone that awakens the healer in every single person I meet. I want to instill faith in the miraculous and I want each and every single individual to awaken to their own power.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite unwind place is definitely Santa Monica Pier, I love spending the day on the beach, shopping and walking around engaging in all the classes that take place there.
I absolutely love spending a day enjoying Beverly Hills- hanging by the pool at the Avalon, maybe lunch or dinner at La Scala and going out at night at Wally’s.
Jones Hollywood is absolutely one of my favorite dinner places. I love their raviolis and their pizzas.
Visiting SoHo House is an absolute must if you’re in LA, if you’re lucky enough to be a member or know one. I have always enjoyed spending time there and met the most incredible people whenever I go and have had the most amazing conversations there as well.
A night out in West Hollywood never disappoints, starting with dinner at Sunset Towers and going out to dance after.
I would take a day or enjoying Malibu- enjoying the beach, hiking up Solstice Canyon, eating at Malibu Farm Pier Cafe.
I love leisurely strolling around either Americana or the Grove, I always meet such interesting people and eat great food.
On Sundays- if it is Football season I would take my friend to Justin Queso’s to Enjoy the game.
There is never a shortage of things to do in LA, which is one of my favorite things about it. Everyone you meet is unique. Whatever ambiance you are looking for, you will find it in Los Angeles. My main suggestion is to keep your heart open and take it all in.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to thank my parents and my sister. My journey has been chaotic to say the least. I pivoted more times than I can count and each & every time my family flowed with it. When my gifts started opening, my parents went to anyone and everyone who could help me comprehend them as well as activate them and they normalized the paranormal for me. They were my lifeboat when I was drowning in depression and physical ailments and they are my biggest cheerleaders as I take on this unique role as an intuitive healer. I wouldn’t have been able to transition into this new world had they not made it so approachable.
My spiritual group the DadaBhagwan Foundation has helped me heal mentally, physically and spiritually. My guru is the main reason I overcame depression and the community, my spiritual family, offered me the comfort and home I needed so I could begin to thrive as I am.
My friend Alok Pandya who introduced me to acupressure when I desperately needed healing. Little did we both know that it was not just for healing but because I was meant to become a healer myself. He also went with me to my first Vipassana Meditation camp so that it was a little less intimidating. He and his family & friends helped me become more comfortable in my gifts and helped validate them as well.
Romie Boccia & Chelsea Iovino for believing me & housing me in Los Angeles and helping make my dream of moving out to LA a more concrete reality.
Brit Bronson and my spaceMVMNT family- I am so happy to be a part of an organization that addresses mental health in such a powerful way. Derek Jameson for creating & facilitating spaceMVMNT SOUL program with me along with being the best magical PIC. They have made me feel at home in my skin and given me a platform to do amazing work for mental health & wellness alongside of them.
Tiensirin Tienngern for nominating me and being such a fiercely loving, uplifting and incredibly gifted soul sister.
My East Coast & West Coast & worldwide friends & family- there are so many to name, but I honestly would not be the healer or mentor I am today without their love, support and guidance- they healed and continue to heal me so that I can heal others.
