We had the good fortune of connecting with Shelley Cerny and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shelley, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
The bigger and scarier our goals are, the more support we need to make them happen. Don’t be afraid to take leaps of faith and get lots of help and support!
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m an acupuncturist and in addition to helping people with their health problems, I’m really excited about natural beauty right now. Living in LA, I see a lot of things people do to themselves beauty-wise that I would never do. I offer a super healthy, natural alternative for people who want to look their best – Microneedling! This lifts sagging, gives that youthful glow, creates new collagen so your face plumps and tightens naturally, and just generally takes years off your face – no toxins or harm caused. The results also last 3-5 years, so it is a great buy. I’d love for people to know that there are healthier, better ways to look and feel great than what is pushed mainstream.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m a big nature lover and my friends ten to be like-minded. We’d definitely hit the beach and Malibu Farms Pier Cafe or The Sunset Restaurant. I love the Topanga hiking trail at the end of Viewridge Rd. There is a side trail off of there with some magnificent oak trees and I might finish up at Cliff Diver with some delicious Mexican food. For someone more city minded, the Santa Monica Promenade is always fun for people watching and LACMA never fails to teach me something and expand my mind. I’m very much looking forward to them re-opening!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My friends, business leaders themselves, have been my biggest supports. Raquel Reyna who does Human Design readings, Lisa Reutter at Heart Vision Consulting for her love and accounting prowess, and Nicole & Brian Whetten for their amazing course Selling By Giving and their book Yes, Yes, Hell No! I could not have done it without them.
