We had the good fortune of connecting with Shino Inoue and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shino, how do you think about risk?
When you want to be successful in something, it is necessary to take risks. I travelled to Los Angeles to pursue my dream of modeling and acting. Part of the risk I took was leaving my family, my home country, and learning to survive by myself in other country where most people do not understand my native language. I have never regretted traveling here as I now am succeeding in pursuing my dreams.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I was scouted by my mother agency when I participated a model contest called “Bisyojo Contest”. That’s when I started my modeling career. AS I did modeling,I learned how to pose depending on brands and I really enjoy it. Key was that I just didn’t give up and pushed forward!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to The Grove and West Hollywood.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mom is a person who has encouraged me whenever I was about to give up on my dreams. She has always been the one to support me through thick and thin. She is a fighter and who never gets down, and has instilled the same belief in me. She always has the best pep talks for me when I feel burnt out or feeling like I’m about to lose hope. My favorite quote that helped me through a lot is: “As long as you keep pushing forward, you’ll land on something”.
