Meet Shreeyeh Rajan | California Travel Planner & Owner of California travel site, Bae Area and Beyond

We had the good fortune of connecting with Shreeyeh Rajan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shreeyeh, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
The idea for customized itinerary planning services for California through our blog, Bae Area and Beyond came from a passion and desire to help others experience the best that California has to offer.
Recognizing that planning a trip can often be overwhelming and time-consuming especially in a state as big and diverse as California, the goal was to create a service that takes the stress out of travel planning by providing personalized itineraries.
By offering a curated selection of activities, accommodations, and dining options, our goal is to make sure that each trip is unique and tailored to our client’s preferences.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely show them things in LA that they won’t see in any other city! Here’s what I’d suggest first-timers on a week long trip:
Day 1: Take it easy on arrival day and head to the Griffith Observatory for sunset and a view of the Hollywood Sign.
Day 2: We’d recommend Universal Studios Hollywood especially to see the Wizarding World of Harry Potter as any friend of mine is most likely a HP fan as well!
Day 3: After spending a well-worth of $$$ yesterday, we’d go with free attractions in Downtown LA including Walt Disney Concert Hall, The Broad, Grand Central Market and Angel’s Flight Railway.
Day 4: Head to the beaches today so Santa Monica and Venice Beach. And at night, we’d go to Santa Monica Pier.
Day 5: For more of the LA entertainment scene, we’d do the Warner Bros Studio Tour and then check out the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the TCL Chinese Theatre.
Day 6: We’d do some hiking today at Griffith Park and Runyon Canyon Park.
Day 7: For departure day, we’d relax and go shopping at The Grove.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The idea of planning travel itineraries came from another travel blogger friend, Emily who has done it before and been successful at this business. I’ve learned my strategies through her and am grateful to have another mentor in this travel space.
