We had the good fortune of connecting with Sh!tty Princess and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sh!tty, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Princessfest is the heart of my social impact. I built the festival, Princessfest because I got tired of seeing women pushed to the sidelines in an industry we help define. Princessfest gives women the headliner slot, the spotlight, and the resources the industry usually gatekeeps. My business opens doors for dancers, vocalists, producers, and independent artists who just need one shot to be seen.

Through my label and my platforms, I share real music-business knowledge so young artists don’t get chewed up by the system. If I’m helping the world in any way, it’s by creating a space where talent gets celebrated, where women lead the charge, and where creatives finally get the opportunities the industry rarely hands out. That’s the entire mission.

I also hope my music makes people smile and dance…. That’s why I’m a DJ producer.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art lives in this electric space between fantasy and reality. I make high-energy dance music that feels like a fairytale rave with euphoric drops, big emotions, glittery chaos, and my lampshade crown leading the way. What sets me apart is that I don’t just DJ or produce, I build a whole world. From EDM 2015 to Princessfest to NYFW, everything I create is meant to feel like stepping into a story where you get to be the main character.

I’m most proud of Princessfest and the universe around it. It’s a movement for women, a platform for talent the industry usually overlooks, and proof that you can build your own kingdom when the gatekeepers won’t open the door. Getting here definitely wasn’t easy. I’ve been underestimated, dismissed, and told ‘no’ more times than I can count. Instead of shrinking, I built a brand that is unapologetically loud, sparkly, and impossible to ignore. Every challenge pushed me to create bigger, invent more, and stay fearless.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that you can’t wait for permission to be great. You have to claim it, build it, protect it, and sometimes dance right through the obstacles in your way.

What I want the world to know about me and my brand is simple: Sh!tty Princess is a fairytale you get to live in. The music, the visuals, the shows, the lampshade, Princessfest…t’s all designed to make people feel powerful, seen, and unstoppable. My story is still being written, and I hope it inspires people to write their own, even if it looks a little unconventional… and a little glitter covered.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
DAY 1: Welcome to the Kingdom of West Hollywood
Start with coffee at Alfred like the cute little LA starter pack we are.
Hit Melrose for vintage shopping. Sunset cocktails at Tower Bar, then a glam night at Chateau Marmont for people-watching and soft scandal.
DAY 2: Studio + Nightlife Double Feature
Morning smoothie at Dialogue Cafe
Spend the afternoon in the studio at Create Music Group. I’ll give them the SP crash course behind the lamp.
Dinner at Soho Weho for the “is that a celebrity or someone who looks like one?” moments.
Finish at The Edition rooftop or Soho WeHo depending on our chaos level.
DAY 3: Princessfest Energy
Take them to West Hollywood walkaround day: boutiques, cafés, vibes, cute dogs.
Lunch at Sushi Fumi. Evening performing at Avalon. I’ll pull them onstage, obviously.
DAY 4: Nature but Make It Bougie
Malibu day trip.
Brunch at Malibu Farm on the pier.
Beachtime at Soho Malibu Little House
Dinner at Nobu Malibu because… it’s Nobu Malibu.
DAY 5: Fashion + Flash
NYFW energy in LA: Hit DTLA sample shops, small designer pop-ups, and cool fashion studios.
Stop by a showroom so we can “borrow” clothes. Dinner at Georgio Balid.
DAY 6: Full Tourist Princess
The Getty for the aesthetic and the calm before the storm. Beverly Hills shopping because we deserve something shiny. Afternoon martinis at The Polo Lounge.
Night out at a secret H-Wood party or whatever event is popping. Maybe the Livingroom in Hollywood. This part is always spontaneous.
DAY 7: Recovery + Reflection (but pretty)
Brunch at The Ivy because it’s classic LA delusion in flower form.
Relax by a fancy hotel pool — the Edition, Sunset Tower, or The Beverly Hills Hotel.
End with sushi at Sugarfish and an early-ish night to pretend we’re responsible.
People to see?
Creative weirdos, DJs, dancers, producers, fashion kids, and anyone who gives main-character energy. LA is full of characters — we collect them like Pokémon.
If they survive the week, they leave with…
Glitter in their hair, three new friendships, one potential life crisis, and the feeling that they lived inside a Sh!tty Princess music video.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Nothing about my journey has been solo, even with a lampshade on my head. I have to shout out the fans, the people who’ve kept me grounded, pushed me forward, and believed in the Sh!tty Princess universe even on the days it felt a little too chaotic.
My managers and mentors have been everything. Connor Traecy has guided me with the sharpest music-business brain I’ve ever seen, and Cameron Dallas has brought a whole new creative fire to the brand. The producers, dancers, vocalists, festival teams, and Princessfest crew help me build this world piece by piece.

And my fans, my kingdom, they’re the heartbeat of all of it. They show up, scream, dance, glitter, cry, and somehow make every moment feel bigger than life. They’re the reason this fairytale exists at all.

I like to think I’m a one-woman fairytale, but the truth is it takes a kingdom and I’m lucky to have some incredible minds and magical humans in mine. They deserve as much credit as I do, maybe more.
