We had the good fortune of connecting with Samantha Klose and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Samantha, what’s the most important thing you’ve done for your children?
I became a mother at a really young age and ever since the day I had my baby girl, I vowed to be the best example of a human as possible. Leading by example has not always been easy, as my road was not without plenty pot holes, but I tried my very best! I think I have shown my daughter how to love with her whole heart, be compassionate, empathic, giving, selfless, kind and a hard worker. I am a very proud Mother of a 19 year old beautiful soul, who is finding herself in this world. It makes the happiest knowing I have had the biggest role in that life of hers.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
So I am a Wedding and Family Photographer and love what I do so much!! Taking photos has always been apart of me, before I even realized it was my calling in life. I am so grateful to have been able to follow that dream of mine. I think one thing that sets me apart as a photographer is how I can be patient with frantic clients, which I credit that skill to being a Mom! I have been able to make clients feel at ease in front of my lens, which can be hard to do sometimes. I’ve also always been pretty outgoing which helps any awkward moment not be so awkward 🙂 I can seriously talk to anyone! I’m pretty proud of that trait of mine! I’ve found building any business is a very hard thing to do, I didn’t find it easy at all! I think finding “your people” is crucial when building a business. You need your tribe! I have many people I was lucky enough to have in my life to help mold me into the Photographer I am today. One thing I have learned along the way is not to compare yourself to others, which is SO HARD to do, but is so important to remember! Try and stay in your lane and focus on YOU because most likely you already are an inspiration to someone else and don’t even realize it. The thing I would want the world to know about me and my brand is that I am devoted to serve my clients and actually anyone in my life! I love being able to be the reason your heart is full!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I have been so lucky to call LA my home for the last 13 years! This city has so much to offer but I do have some favorite places 🙂 So I would take my best friend to see a show on Broadway to start, go to a movie on the roof like EP LP. They also have a really fun bar atmosphere as well! We would go to Venice and bar hop at all the fun bars by the beach like The Whaler. I would of course show her a good spot to see the Hollywood sign and go to Griffith Observatory. We would have to have a day at LACMA and go to Hollyweird and people watch. Maybe even take in a fun kid movie at El Cap, its fun to keep your soul young! I love going out to eat in Santa Monica where I live and have so many friends that own cool restaurants like Surfer Rose, Bru Haus and Tipsy Chef so we would go to all of those places for dinner. Montana ave. also has awesome restaurants like R&D kitchen, Art’s table, and Father’s Office! I also love a good coffee place like Bardonna and Dogtown! And on her last night we would walk to Wine Expo (a hidden gem) and wine taste 🙂

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My very patient and amazing Husband Jay Diaz was my first mentor in life and in my career! My life would look very different if I hadn’t met him. So I dedicate my shout out to this humbly talented, sweet faced, loving and supportive man of mine!!
