We had the good fortune of connecting with Siphesihle Vilakazi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Siphesihle, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk taking always plays a huge role in my life because I took the risk to apply to one College which was overseas (New York Film Academy in the Los Angeles Campus) that was my dream college since the tenth grade and I ended up being accepted to the college and also becoming one of the top students in the institution.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am currently graduating from the New York Film Academy and I can’t wait for what the future has in store for me. During my college life I danced at the WACO Theatre, Twitch TV and multiple music artists in their music videos. I have also acted in films her in Los Angeles and Interned in one of the biggest production house in South Africa called Bomb Shelter Productions in each and every department for I left to go study at the New York Film Academy. And one of my projects that is still in post production it is called WE WERE NEVER MEDE TO FALL IN LINE and its a story told through dance about the the problems that women face and that they do not need to fall into the criteria of stereotypical image on a woman

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
They would have to visit Malibu Pier, New Port Beach, Venice Beach, Universal City Walk, Disneyland in Anaheim and definitely six flags, little Ethiopia, Little Toyko and to eat I would definitely recommend the Federal Restaurant in North Hollywood
