We had the good fortune of connecting with Sivram Jackson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sivram, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
At the beginning of my journey, the plan to become a business was the last thing on my mind. It was a task granted to me because I held a camera. I did a couple graduation shoots and didn’t think to much of it, but it was at the second time when my equipment was stolen that I realized that there was a specific reason as to why I was placed on this path. After coming to that realization the thought of making something I truly feel happy doing my life came to be.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
As a photographer in a field oversaturated with such a variety of like minded individuals one thing that sets me apart is my level of creativity mixed with my cinematic view of the world. I am a visionary who can see a shot before it happens and after its edited before its even captured through my lens. I have grown to love movies my entire life or at least from what I can remember and the best part besides the plot is the use of colors to create the mood for either time of day or emotion that is being create. These ideas I use when shooting my photos of videos they help me separate myself from the rest and it can be clearly viewed in my work.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For me the best time ever is seeing California, when your one visiting its always the sites that catch the attention so the itinerary would be: Monday: views from Hollywood hills and Beverly Hills mansions In-n-out
Tuesday: Selfie museum and Pantages theater in Los Angeles Roscos chicken and waffles
Wednesday: Hollywood walk of fame and Sage Vegan Bistro
Thursday: day of Rest and gaming
Friday: Day of the beach
Saturday: San Diego site seeing

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
In my life so many people dedicated their time and effort into showing me where I could be in life; there are four specific individuals who gave me the most: one being my mom who through everything in life kept giving for me and my family by herself and still continues to give everything. The second person would be my college fraternity brother and mentor Dr. King David Godwin, a Dean, Chairman, and college instructor previously at Grambling State University he told me that when its something you really want to do, putting your all into what you truly want will produce the results your looking for. The third person is another college professor previously located at Grambling State University, Dr. Robbie Morganfield, he came to me with an opportunity to mentee under a photographer that shoots for the United states presidents saying that when you give yourself a vision to go after the end goal is easier to reach. Ian T. Burse and long time friend of mine was the first person to allow me to shoot and edit a video for him, showing me how to get from point a to point b in the editing process, he also encourages me even until this day on how to push myself to be better everyday. These four individuals have help mold me into the man I am today.
