We met while touring the world with electronic music producer deadmau5 in 2010. Natalie, originally from Detroit was in charge of all things merchandise and VIP while Sofia who is a German-born,Greek artist was performing her hit songs “SOFI needs a ladder” and “One Trick Pony” from the GRAMMY-nominated album 4×4=12 on stage with deadmau5.

Natalie has continued to work as Merchandise manager, production coordinator, and VIP Concierge for bands such as KISS and co-founded “Merch Roadie” – an automated retail solutions company built to tour that landed accounts with many notable artists including Beyonce. In recent years Natalie has joined the deadmau5 team again as the Director of Global Retail where she oversees production, social strategy/ campaigns as it relates to retail announcements, brand partnerships, NFT management, pop-up experiences, tour merch production, VIP experiences, and gallery artist collaborations.

Sofia remained active in the performance art and entertainment world as an actor and musician and coach. Her voice and songwriting have been featured in movies such as “22 Jump Street”, “The Hangover 2” and can be heard in many notable TV shows. Sofia has choreographed and staged shows for Avril Lavigne, Motley Crue, the acclaimed adult carnival show “Absinthe” and toured with Britney Spears as backup singer.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
LA is one of those places that’s ever changing! L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele is one of our faves for authentic Italian food and vibes. Sunset at Edition is a great time when Zen Freeman is djing. Tomoko Japanese Spa is unmatched when it comes to a luxurious massage. Superba and Bottega Louie are great spots for brunch . Bavel is probably one of the most delicious Middle Eastern restaurants, Crossroads Kitchen has the best vegan chicken & waffles. Of course the beaches and hikes the city has to offer are always a good idea and you can find any type of workout you are into into all over the city. If you are looking for fun boutique carrying vintage inspired clothing and gifts as well as assorted badbitchtea flavors – Audrey K in Burbank is the spot. Siany in Westlake Village is a one stop shop for all things fabulous and one of our partners as well.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Our tea farmers! Especially the strong promoters of Thailand’s rural economy, enabling local people (mostly women) to build a meaningful career close to their native land.
