We had the good fortune of connecting with Sonia Ramos and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sonia, how do you think about risk?
I moved from Pasco Wa 3 yrs ago! I packed whatever fit in my car and left to Los Angeles! I posted on social media a year before and got to be part of a one year partnership with a big business inn 2021-2023! I worked with a lot of top brands in the beauty industry because I moved! Sometimes you got to take risk! And this changed my content creation!!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I think it when it comes to career what does it look like! I work from home now! This was the first time that I have ever done this and create content in my beauty space! I review product and I’m honest and some ppl don’t like that! I’m a consumer just like everyone else! So for me being my true authentic self and being humble is key! It’s been a hard transition from a small town to a big city! Going to influencers events, I’m one of the oldest in the room! But my confidence to connect is key to being successful and networking! You can’t be scared and just start conversations! Especially with the brand you want to work with!!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Depends on my friend! Some ppl love shopping while others want to experience La!

For my shopper amigas
I take them to rodeo drive for the experience! You got to try that out one time even if you don’t buy anything! I’d take them to go try the Hailey Andover smoothie! Ha! It’s a must! You have to experience melrose st!

Someone that went to experience La
Take them to Santa Monica to see the beach, Hollywood walk of fame to see Selena Q Star and take them to Hollywood Sogn! The last place would be Disneyland!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shout out a particular friend that helped me when I got to Los Angeles and that my friend Desiree! I met a lot of ppl here and she was one of my friends to help me transition from a small town to a city! I want to shout out my kids for the drive! Julian, Andrew, Elijah and Mario! And my grandkids! Ezra, Eula, Hero and Halo!! My mom for making me a strong person! Also all my good friends I met a long the way! I went to that a Sephora producer for telling my story and opening that door to be a Sephora squad member for 2 yrs!! And all the brand ppl that I worked with for thinking of me and giving me opportunities!
