We had the good fortune of connecting with Spencer Galbreath and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Spencer, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I picked an artistic / creative career because growing up I was a very creative kid. So when I became of age / adult I wanted to do something that fits my being , energy and vibe. I love to think outside of the box and make things happen from nothing to something, then see the outcome from all the hard work. Being in the creative space has been exhilarating & challenging all in the same breath, however I wouldn’t change it for the world.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Becoming a well rounded entrepreneur. Seasoned marketing executive definitely didn’t happen over night. I started out as a intern for Amaru Entertainmnet / Interscope records fresh out of high school. Which lead to getting on the books and working hard to elevate. Once I elevated I worked inside of interscope for various joint ventures. Being a creative you always dream about having / starting your own company, which I did. DRI , stands for dreamers, risk-takers & innovators. Which is modeled after me and my lifestyle . If you know me , you know that’s me 300 percent. Lol My consulting company caters to all the dreamers, risk-takers & innovators out there.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I had clients or family coming to town for a week. We would do a couple of days in Las Vegas, I would hit up my contact at jet suite x (JSX) show them some of the exclusive private aviation lifestyle. Hit the Bellagio / Caesars smoke some fine Davidoff cigars. Do the whole night life thing. Fly back to Los Angeles for dinner at Toca Madera. Then hit PCH all the way up to Santa Barbara, to check into one of my favorite spots. The Ritz-Carlton Bacara. Simple and easy moves which I know they would enjoy. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Yes, my shoutout is dedicated to all my old and new clients , brands, executives , family members and mentors who showed me the game of business and life. Teaching me at a young age about financial literacy , the power of being a team player and having the ability to learn from everyone you come in contact with in life personal or business it doesn’t matter , because there’s a lesson in it all.
