Meet Stacey Herrera | Intimacy and Relationship Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Stacey Herrera and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stacey, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
I used to subscribe to the idea of work-life balance, but then I realized it was not a sustainable or realistic goal. Life and work are intertwined, so in my experience, the division is imaginary, and striving to achieve it can feel impossible. Instead, I now seek work-life harmony.
The work-life harmony approach acknowledges the fluidity of my professional and personal lives, allowing them to blend and complement each other. As an intimacy and relationship coach, my work often intersects with my personal growth. So, by embracing work-life harmony, I can be fully present in both areas, whether supporting a client or leaning into intimacy with family and friends.
It’s less about maintaining strict boundaries and more about finding a rhythm that energizes and honors both aspects of my life. Naturally, the rhythm changes and fluctuations sometimes —and that’s okay. Integration, not separation, is the sweet spot for me.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My authentic, down-to-earth communication style is what sets me apart. I always keep it real, and my clients appreciate that. But I’m most proud of my ability to create a space for people to feel seen, heard, and understood. When people feel safe and seen, they feel empowered to make shift happen for themselves and their relationships.
My business journey has been challenging, but consistency has helped me stay the course. Even when progress seemed invisible, showing up consistently for my clients and the business has made a difference. Consistency has taught me perseverance and a strong belief that my work is valuable and crucial.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned from being in business for over a decade is the power of perspective. The way we see the world shapes our experience. Adapting a positive and proactive mindset has been a game changer for me, personally and professionally.
Above all, I want the world to know that relationships are essential. They give our lives meaning in ways that money and accolades can’t. My mission is to help people get better at “relationshiping,” so they’ll invest time and effort into understanding and nurturing their connections. I believe healthy, loving relationships are not just part of a fulfilling life —they are the only way to get there.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting, I’d give them the quintessential Long Beach experience, filled with great food, relaxation, and local culture. We’d start by indulging in some of my favorite eateries like Ubuntu for its incredible locally sourced food options, The Attic for its unique Southern California flair, Nick’s on 2nd for a classic dining experience, and Anna’s joint for its cozy, homely vibe.
We’d spend time strolling along 2nd Street, soaking in the vibrant local scene, and maybe even take a serene gondola ride in the Naples canals, which is always a hit. For tranquility, yoga in the park by the beach would be on our list, offering relaxation and a chance to connect with nature.
No visit to Long Beach is complete without exploring its lively brewery scene. We’d hop between local breweries, each offering unique brews and atmosphere. On the cultural front, we’d dive into the diverse array of museums Long Beach boasts, each telling a different story of the area’s rich history and art.
And, of course, a visit to the Earl Burns Miller Japanese Gardens would be essential. It’s a place of immense beauty and peace, offering a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. This would be a week of relaxation, exploration, fun, and a whole lot of love!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I owe a huge debt of gratitude to my family and my partner. Their unwavering support and encouragement sustain me. Whether through their patient listening when I’m brainstorming ideas or their ability to provide grounded, honest feedback, their influence has been invaluable. Their belief in my work has empowered me to pursue my passions confidently. In many ways, their support and love have been the cornerstone of my success and growth, and I genuinely believe I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.
