Meet Stefanie Barboza | Barboza Method Owner & Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Stefanie Barboza and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stefanie, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
The most important lesson always be ready to jump. Change is the only thing that is consistent in business. Always be able to bend within your surrounding, while staying true to your path. Be earthquake proof—move with what life throws at you, instead of crumbling in the face of it. When you are starting a business, or if you’re evolving, you need to accept that things will be different. Stay true to your mission. Identify what your business is, and make sure your voice as a brand is strong. Your business is forever changing and moving by the world, so make sure your voice is your foundation, no matter what challenges come your way.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The Barboza Method is a full body, no impact workout that is all done on the floor. No Weights, no machines. Just you, me, and the mat. This class improves strength, flexibility, and posture. What sets us apart is that this class implements good body habits through a series of exercises focused on posture and alignment. It’s not just what you do, it’s how you do it. I’m excited to have Barboza On Demand, so you can do Barboza Method anywhere, anytime. I’m so proud of how my team adapted to a new way of working. It took a village to get Barboza Method where we are today. It looks friends, family, students, love, blood, sweat, and tears. It took consistency, persistence, and perseverance. Any challenge that comes my way I break it up into pieces and take on the little things first. Then I’m freed up to put my energy toward the big things. This way the challenge doesn’t feel overwhelming. I want the world to know what I know about the body. My method teaches body awareness. Learning how to work in proper alignment with your body is healing.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Some of the best spots to visit when you come to LA are Rodeo Drive, Hollywood and Highland, Venice Beach, Santa Monica Pier, The Getty. I’ll take a friend to see a show at the Pantages. My favorite restaurants to take a friend to are Catch and Bestia.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shoutout every Barboza Warrior—my students. You are a different breed of human. You evolve. You prevail. You do not stop for anyone or anything. I am not worried about you, I am inspired.
