Meet Stephanie De La Cruz | Life & Career Coach/ Business owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie De La Cruz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stephanie, where are you from and how did your background and upbringing influence who you are today?
Born and raised in East Los Angeles, California…I had somewhat of a rough childhood, I was an only child -My parents were teens and they didn’t work out. My mother worked most of the time and I was raised by my grandparents. I swayed away, early and I learned alot from the Streets of LA. Growing up in L.A with no guidance, definitely took me down the wrong path.
By the age of 19, I was a Single mom and DV survivor. I’ll never forget that time in my life…There definitely is Beauty in the struggle. I always knew there was much more out there for me but just never thought it would be within my reach.
I knew one thing for sure, I didn’t want to spend my life making someone else’s dreams come true… I had dreams of my own.
I faced many Obstacles, At the age of 23 I had three kids and absolutely no knowledge of how I would better my situation from home. I stumbled into the Independent Sales Industry and found my Niche in Home partys – “Sex toy” home Parties .
In 2006 I launched Lust Parties @lust_parties_la. This was before Facebook and Instagram blew up, before Social Media Marketing was even a thing. Years before Amazon went public and became one of the leading home delivery services. With no business background, It was there that I learned “The principles of sales” like how to Target my audience, Listen to my consumers and learned the importance of Networking, customer satisfaction, Referrals as well as Supply and demand.
Being in the “Sex toy Industry”, It was sort of an overnight Sensation. In 2008 I was featured in a television segment for Telemundo (a Local Hispanic News media) . I appeared in many interviews -Everyone wanted to know “what the Buzz was… literally! After opening up an Adult Toy and lingerie Boutique I added my Infamous “Strip Pole studio”, with Various Romance workshops.
“We have everything a woman needs to just feel sexy: One of my greatest successes has been the ability to Hire my own independent consultants and help them launch their own Businesses & Boutiques. Some of My girls are still doing well today.
During The Pandemic in 2020, shops and salons were closed. I launched another Business The Beauty bar @ Beauty_bar_baddies against all odds. The Idea was to give a platform for all women in the Beauty industry to showcase their skills in one setting. A “one stop shop” Such as Eyebrow Microblading, eyelash extensions, Nail techs,
Body Contouring, Teeth gems, eye lashes and more. Of course. I provide training where girls can take classes and grow their own business with my mentorship. I have a few that opened up in Las vegas and downey and montebello.
So fast foward to now, Being a Certified Life and Career Coach. I understand my journey and why everything turned out the way it did. I dedicate my time now to helping other Entrepreneurs bring their ideas and Creativity to life. I love what I do! My Soul Calling is helping others achieve what they believed was out of their reach.

Risk taking: What do you think about Risk? What role has risk taking played in your career?
I strongly feel that every Entrepreneur has had those moments where they think ” Should I do this? or what if it doesn’t work? My advice is “Behind Every great idea there is a Risk that was taken”. So think about that… If they didn’t take the risk we wouldn’t have everything we have today at our fingertips. I believe No idea is a bad idea! You just have to find your Audience (the Consumers), know your market ( The Industry) and Always prioritize the Client. You have to hear the needs of people before they tell you. You must believe in your brand 100%. If you don’t, who will? Take the risk. Dive in deep and grab your dream. Sacrifices and knowing when to fold is equally important.
It’s far better to say at least “I tried, ” or “what can I learn from this? and how can I come back better and stronger?” than to sit and wonder what could have been.
What is Value matters to you the most?
I would say to make an impact on people’s lives doing what you’re good at. Doing Business with a Deeper meaning. I think it’s about “The Legacy ” and changing people’s lives. Increasing your impact and finding a way to give back to the world.

Tell us about a book you read and why you like it?
This may sound very cliche but “think and grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill. I would have to say because “Desire” and “Faith” and “Persistence” are definitely key factors in Entrepreneurship. I really liked the Concept of never accepting failure as an option.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Here in Cali, we have some the most incredible Beaches and Scenery. I would say Horseback riding in Malibu hills. We would go have some drinks and Lobster sandwiches at Broad Street Oyster Company then sit enjoy the view in Malibu cliffs. Then I would take a cruise down PCH and show them Santa Monica pier/ boardwalk. Then Ride through the canyons and pop out on Sunset Blvd. where of course I would take them to the infamous Hollywood Blvd. for some clubbing or a comedy club. maybe a little sightseeing. I would end the night at Palermo’s one of my favorite Italian restaurants in Loz Feliz. Grab dinner and the take them up to the Griffith observatory for some amazing start gazing. Then hit the East Side for some Tacos.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
