We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Lovato and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stephanie, how do you think about risk?
Taking risks is generally NOT my style! However, once upon seven years ago, I hopped on a plane from Toronto to Los Angeles for a vacation… and never left! A sporadic, risky decision has led to a wonderful marriage and business with my husband seven years strong. I reconsider my quick “no” every time a risk presents itself now.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Together with my husband Justin, we have built our business with the intention to not only improve one’s health and fitness, but life as a whole. Fortunately, fitness has been a lifelong passion for us both, and we’ve genuinely discovered that when you follow what you’re passionate about, you can make a living and change lives doing so. Of course it’s not always easy, but never stop chasing your dreams. Be yourself, stay genuine, work hard and with good intentions and you will attract just the right people who will help your business flourish! We have worked with hundreds of clients, many of which have become friends, always encouraging our philosophy: #IAMBUILT to be the best version of me I will live life to the fullest and spend each day my happiest. I will connect with people and share my deepest love. I will define my own uniqueness and push beyond limits to explore extremes outside of my comfort zones. I will show the world how extraordinary I can be and I will become what I know I am. I am regretless. I am fearless. I am powerful. I am kind. I am grateful. I am going to overcome any obstacle because I know that every goal is achievable. I will work my hardest and become my strongest until my dreams are my reality. I determine my success because only I can defeat me. #IAMBULT for the extraordinary adventure of life and I will live every day at my best. What are YOU BUILT for?

Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
We love FOOD! And luckily Venice has so many healthy yet delicious restaurants to offer! Here’s a fun-fitness-foodie’s itinerary: 1. An early morning Gold’s Gym session in Venice Beach if you’re down for a great workout but even better people watching. 2. Enjoy a post-workout breakfast at Superba with a latte, avocado toast or whatever else you choose on the menu because it’s all delicious. 3. Let’s head to the Venice Beach Boardwalk for some sun and chill vibes. Venice Ale House is always tasty for lunch. You have to embrace the chaos and disorganization, but it’s definitely the best food right on the Boardwalk in my opinion. 4. A Bulletproof coffee will be our next stop for an afternoon pick-me-up. 5. We could do a late afternoon hike – there are a ton to choose from! Temescal is always a good place to start. 6. Pretty sure it would be time for more food! Some local dinner faves are 26 Beach for Burgers, Non-Stop Sushi for all-you-can-eat, Double Zero if you want to opt for plant-based pizza, or somewhere on Abbott Kinney if you’re feeling a little fancier. 7. This is quite the packed day, but let’s gather some energy and go party it up in West Hollywood! WeHo is never a let down if you want some fun!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I dedicate my beautiful Venice Beach life to my ever supportive husband, Justin.
