We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephanie Rose Solomon and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stephanie, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
There are some individuals who like to manage things and they are superb in that. While there are another amount of people who like the whole concept of creating something from scratch and watch it flourish and provide value to people. I am of the second kind. But the whole idea of creating from zero is what inspires and motivates me. I decided it was time to start my own business when I realized that I was created to follow my own path and wanted to do it my way. I was prepared to work hard, but I was also prepared to sacrifice capital and freedom today, for Financial freedom tomorrow.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
SGE Realty’s core values lie in empowering women to seek professional careers. Together, we are bending the social norms of a woman’s role in society: she can be a mom and an entrepreneur. Collectively, I have 30 agents working for SGE Realty, whom I inspire daily to achieve capital results. One of my proudest moments was when I attained my broker’s license; becoming a broker and passing the rigorous exam to achieve this title was exceedingly challenging but fulfilling. Becoming a broker has inspired others in my life to obtain a real estate license. Success, to me, is helping others, and I am able to guide my agents in excelling in their careers and advance my clients’ portfolio of real estate properties, SGE Realty concentrates on selling high-end luxury homes and accommodations. My company relies on adaptability to ensure that our customers receive the home or rental they need within minutes. SGE Realty is, in essence, a one-stop-shop for our high-profile clients: we rent homes accompanied by all the amenities one needs, whether it be a full-service chef or a limousine to whisk our clients off and reach their destination promptly. My team and I are accessible 24/7–– whenever my client may need me, I am a phone call away. My Instagram platform is also integral in creating boundless relationships and networking opportunities for SGE Realty; in this day and age, social media acts as a collaborative powerhouse that emphasizes the diligent work I do to make every client’s experience momentous. SGE Realty generates a sense of community with our clients; I am able to critically comprehend what my client desires, provide attentive involvement to ensure they love their new home, and foster lasting relationships that are rooted in reliability and respect.
At SGE Realty, we are committed to creating a memorable niche that relies on innovatively thinking about how we can meet our clients’ needs in every possible way. Instilling hope in others to believe they can reach financial freedom makes my company a galvanizing atmosphere. “Remember that when you leave this earth, you can take with you nothing that have received–only what you have given.”
As a young, attractive woman, I have faced countless hardships in having to prove to others that I am an experienced broker that can handle whatever comes my way. Being harassed by men/women because of the way I look or being bullied by naysayers on my social media platforms is only a sliver of the challenges I face daily. I feel propelled to overcompensate my abilities towards a client because I am young, despite all of the experience and networking I have under my belt. When my mom died of cancer when I was 23, my dad left us. Feeling broken and horribly lost, I was now responsible for raising my 12-year-old brother. My world was morosely shaken as I now transformed into the matriarch of the family. Losing my mother at such a young age while simultaneously being responsible for my brother would either make me or break me. I used my mother’s passing as a motivator to achieve the goals I had always dreamed about. Whether it is losing a parent, being circumvented out of a deal, or a client backing out of a sale unexpectedly, I have learned to get back up again whenever I am pushed out. If this industry has taught me anything, it has reinforced me of my value as a woman and how powerful I can become professionally––even when situations attempt to knock me down or question my worth.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would start the day with a drive to the Santa Monica stairs for a great work out and also such a scenic drive and opportunity to see all the beauty LA offers. The day would continue with lunch at the Getty Villa in Pacific Palisades, Which is such a gem and have a mini photoshoot while taking in all the history and views and a moment of appreciation of everything LA offers. To continue the evening we would have dinner at my favorite restaurant Taisho in the valley. They offer the best sushi and also the energy and friendly staff and aesthetics are unmatched.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
A lot of amazing individuals have played a huge part in the making of SGE Realty Inc.. My team who has been extremely supportive and I continue to feel so lucky to have and work with such talented individuals, My mentor and friend Mike Turner played a big part in the vision becoming a reality. Also close friends who always advised me and believed in my capabilities, Even when I didn’t believe in myself. Encouragement and support can make a huge difference in the beginning stages of starting a business, Especially since you have to battle your own doubts and unknown certainty’s of the future. I have to give thanks to my Mother for giving me the strength and perseverance to not give up and pick myself up every time I fell.
