We had the good fortune of connecting with Steven Nguyen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Steven, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
After graduating with a business degree, I felt unfulfilled lagging away at an office job. But through the discovery of my own talent and keen eye for photography, I decided to pursue wedding photography as freelance work. Seeing potential in myself and wanting something more concrete than simply freelancing led me towards opening up LLC-backed personal brand businesses – thus beginning another chapter in pursuit of dreams!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As a light and airy photographer with an eye for film-inspired color, running a business rooted in creativity has never been easy. Weddings are complex events where teamwork is essential to success – but sometimes, things don’t go according to plan. That’s when I really shine: my strength lies not only in artistic vision but also problem solving skills that help ensure the couple can have their special day without unnecessary stress or worry.

With years of experience under my belt comes wisdom too; most important among it being listening carefully to clients’ ideas so as best translate them into stunning photos they will cherish forever!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For an unforgettable experience for friends and family, why not take them to the renowned Korean BBQ in bustling K-town? And don’t miss out on Universal Studio Hollywood, one of LA’s top tourist attractions.

I’m full of appreciation for my partner Connie, who provides an unwavering love and support that I can’t imagine living without. My gratitude is also extended to Kyle Goldie – he may have been a mentor only a short time but his transformative mindset, work ethic and inspiring community ushered in major changes not just professionally but personally too.
