We had the good fortune of connecting with Strayn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Strayn, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
“You take the opportunities that present themselves to you. If there are no opportunities, you create one. You can’t knock on opportunities door and not be ready.”

This is a piece of career advice that is worth repeating from time to time. I’m sure it has been repeated many times over.
But it always creates this sense of responsibility and self-reliance, encouraging all of us in the band to be proactive, adaptable, and always prepared for the possibilities that lie ahead. It helps us in recognizing and embracing opportunities that come your way, creating an opportunity when they are scarce, and being equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to take advantage of them.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a band, we take immense pride in the remarkable growth we’ve experienced over the years, both in skills and personal growth as human beings. We recognize that we have a long ways to go, but it’s always important to look back and see how far we’ve come. It fuels our passion for music, it reminds us of the distance we’ve covered and fuels our determination to keep striving.

Adversity by nature is not easy. We need to grow through life, and to struggle is to progress forward. One of the key factors contributing to our growth is the supportive environment we’ve cultivated within the band. We push each other to reach greater heights in our musical abilities, taking each others criticism seriously and never personally. We all learned to have patience and trust in one another, progress is a gradual process.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There are many beautiful places to visit here in California. Butterfly beach in Santa Barbara. Death Valley is our favorite national park. for food we enjoy Tsujita La Artisan Noodles and a Half and Half Boba. Luv2eat Thai bistro is a Michelin star hole in the wall. Olibolis Donuts are easily the best in the west coast. Drinks at the Death and Co, of course.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We would like to thank our friends and families who have supported us throughout the years. We would like to thank our producer Pooya. You can find his socials below.
