We had the good fortune of connecting with Taliah Michelle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taliah, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my business was pretty cut and dry. Financial freedom and a means to build generational wealth while exploring one of my passions. Im still growing and learning but I just keep the thought in. my mind that I can, I will, and it is possible. Being a single mother and an entrepreneur that also has a regular job is not easy but I keep my eyes on the prize and just do what I have to do to hit my goals.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am simply a single mommy with a dream. Not only am I a flight attendant, but I am also a business owner. I love all things beauty so I have created a brand and a company that allows me to be my authentic self and to do what I love on a regular basis; make other people feel confident and beautiful. It makes me happy to empower other people and to even teach them a new skill that could possibly help them to elevate. Was it easy? No, heck no. I took a lot of expensive classes and got certified for every service I provide. I did my business mobile until I could afford to rent a salon space which was not easy at all. I remember setting up my office 5 days after having a major foot surgery. People said I was crazy, but I am dedicated.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
LA has some really nice hiking trails with gorgeous views at the end so we’d go do one of those. We’d definitely do one of those cool immersive art exhibits. SHOPPING! I love theatrics and extravagant presentation so Id take my friend to either Barton G or The Classic Cat for dinner.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mother in law, Nerris, has always been in my corner. She encourages me so much to go for whatever I want and really. believes in me. She has helped me so much with my son after his father (her son) passed away from cancer, and I wouldn’t have been able to do all of the things I’ve done without her unwavering support and genuine love.
