We had the good fortune of connecting with Tam Nguyen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tam, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
being transparent. I always tell the truths to my customers, providing them the true informations of my products.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I used to own 2 businesses in the past but i failed because lacks of knowledge in team management, financial management and plans. But running businesses is my dream so I learned from mistakes and started again with TamTak Jewelry. I used to think English is my challenge because it was my second language but along the way i figured out it not. Lacks of discipline is the big challenge. Since i have my baby since Sep 2021, I have to change my time management and my discipline. People often say its hard to run business with a newborn, yes it is hard but it is possible. All you need is time manganement and discipline. I don’t have a whole lot of time for work because i have to balance and spend my time with my new born, so i have to make my work time really valuable. I have to be energize for work and discipline to get it done. No time to play around during work time.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live 30′ away from Omaha, Nebraska. If my friends come visit, I definitely take her to Aksarben village. Its a shopping/entertaining village that has a lot of restaurants, fun place to hang out

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would say Bob Proctor. He’s a mindset coach that changed my life for the better. Not anything related about business but your mindset is important to keep you on reaching your goal and being successful
