We had the good fortune of connecting with Tammy Gibson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tammy, what is the most important factor behind your success?
My entrepreneurial journey has been a series of edits—filled with unique opportunities and unexpected pivots. Each new experience has deepened my understanding of who I am as a businesswoman, constantly evolving and refining my approach.
From blogging to social media management to coaching, my offerings have changed over time, but one thing has remained constant: my heart for service. To me, a successful business is one where both the brand and the client feel genuinely valued. This kind of success only happens when service is at the core of everything you offer. It’s the foundation that fosters meaningful connections and lasting impact.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business is built on the belief that every person’s story holds the power to transform their life and inspire others. After overcoming immense personal challenges—including the loss of my leg, nerve damage, and a long recovery from A-Typical COVID-19—I realized that my journey wasn’t just a struggle, it was a strength. Today, I help others unlock the same potential in their own lives by guiding them to build captivating, purpose-driven identities that allow them to shine both personally and professionally. My focus is on helping women develop confidence, resilience, and authenticity, whether they’re entrepreneurs looking to build a personal brand or individuals seeking to feel more empowered in everyday life.
What sets my business apart is how I merge personal transformation with professional empowerment. I teach my clients how to tell their story in a way that not only resonates with their audience but also strengthens their sense of self. Through speaking, consulting, and coaching, I help people turn adversity into opportunity, showing them how to thrive by embracing vulnerability and building a life and career that reflects their true purpose. My mission is to empower others to captivate their audience, grow their confidence, and make an impact through their unique story.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My hometown of Redlands, CA, is a hidden gem for exploring Southern California. It’s centrally located, making it easy to visit a variety of hotspots, though we’ll need to keep the infamous SoCal traffic in mind when planning! What used to be a 45-minute drive can now take twice as long.
For sure, we’ll head into Los Angeles to catch a concert or a professional sporting event. There’s always something exciting happening at SoFi Stadium or Crypto Arena.
After a busy day in LA, we’ll wind down in downtown Redlands. We can grab lunch at Mu, where the yellow curry is the best in town, then browse the local shops like Shop Suey Boutique, Nectar, and Kith. In the afternoon, we can stop by Side Bar Café inside Gerrard’s for a relaxing latte.
Another day, we’ll take a trip to Orange County and spend the day at Balboa Beach—one of my favorites. We’ll start with boutique shopping on Balboa Island and indulge in a famous Balboa ice cream bar before taking the car ferry across to the beach. Hopefully, we’ll spot a sea lion or two on the ride! We can spend the afternoon soaking up the sun and listening to the waves. Before leaving, we should rent beach cruisers to ride along the boardwalk and finish with a nice dinner by the ocean.
For our final day trip, we’ll head out to Palm Springs and take the Aerial Tramway to enjoy stunning views and lunch at Pines Café. On the way back, we can stop by the Cabazon Outlets for some designer shopping.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’ve been fortunate to have a long list of girlfriends who have served as my sounding board over the years. Some are entrepreneurs, some are not, but all have given me unwavering love, encouragement, and support. Having friends we can confide in, lean on, and celebrate with is invaluable. These incredible women, from all corners of the globe, are the ones I want to give a heartfelt shoutout to—they’ve been an essential part of my journey, and I am endlessly grateful for their presence in my life.
