Meet Tara Alice | Actor, Model & Soul Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tara Alice and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tara, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
The best acting class is life. Nothing that any acting class can teach you will ever equate to what life can teach you about the craft. Acting is not faking. Acting is being real under imaginary circumstances. Yes, I trained, I took classes, etc. It wasn’t until I experienced various ups and downs, and true growth in life that my craft started to shine. The secret is thoroughly getting to know yourself. Thats where the magic is. I will admit, it can be easier said than done. Another key is mastering the art of being in the moment. Which circles back to my point of life being the best class, since the key to happiness is living in the moment, and that is something that is important to learn to do in life. If you are pursuing acting, just start with the ‘self’ and then work your way from there. Make sure to live your life to the fullest! Learn new skills like rollerskating, martial arts, surfing, etc. These skills and hobbies come in handy on your resume, and throughout your career. Plus it is fun to have experiences, hobbies, and skills that you learn and do through life.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The irony of this question, is that I am not even sure how to answer the ‘what sets me apart from others’ question anymore. This is because, along my journey, I’ve learned, it’s not about me. It never was about me. It’s about connectivity, the collective of people, and connection. What moves people? What inspires them? What set’s a fire in them? Thats my job, to push that button. That button that sparks others. I guess you could say that is what I am most proud of so far, is finally figuring that out. Along with getting to truly know myself. For the longest, I was at a wall with my craft, and didn’t realize that the wall was me hiding from myself. How was I supposed to inspire others if I was hiding? That was a big milestone I had to overcome. Was it easy to overcome? Oh no, not at all. You could say, I definitely went through ‘growing pains’, but those ‘pains’ were definitely worth the hurdle. My brand was built off of me learning first hand the importance of self awareness, growth, spiritual health, and having a heightened sense of intuition. Others started seeking out my assistance in this area and that is where I began my journey as a soul coach. You could say my acting and soul coaching go hand and hand, because my growth was the biggest factor in my craft improving. However, I learned that this was also the biggest factor in my life improving overall.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For someone visiting LA, I would definitely take them to:
The Topanga Lookout Trail for a gorgeous view and a dope art exhibit that graffiti artists from all over contribute to at anytime they want. So the art is ever-changing, and a different display each time I visit.
El Matador Beach in Malibu for amazing views and a nice relaxing beach day. Of course El matador also is an amazing photo op. After, we can enjoy a nice ride down the PCH.
Mama Shelter Rooftop Bar for a nice night out after a day at the beach. Their ‘Boujie Fries” are AMAZING. Honestly just the fries, and one of their signature cocktails, and you are set!
Griffith Observatory is a must do at night, strictly for the view alone if nothing else. There is something about looking over the LA lights at night that eases my soul. Plus the observatory itself is gorgeous at night.
Manhattan Beach for sunset. The sunsets there are amazing and walking Manhattan Beach never gets old. Maybe hit up Pancho’s Mexican Restaurant for some bites and Margaritas. Then head to Manhattan Beach Creamery for some dessert. I personally like the salted caramel ice cream.
Exploring Silverlake and Echo Park areas is always fun for some unique shopping and bar/coffee shop hopping. ‘The Semi Tropic’ is one of my faves for a nice chill day drink, or coffee and snacks if you want to get some work done and bring your laptop.
Lastly, would head to Long Beach to explore Belmont Shore and watch the kites fly. Also maybe get some rollerskating or bike riding in. Then head up to ‘Recircle Home’, one of my favorite Crystal/Metaphysical shops. They have the sweetest team and lot’s of goodies you can find there.
Bonus: The Laugh Factory is always a good time!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
If I were to give a shoutout to the people that have effected my life greatly, along my journey, we would be here all day. I found that each person, for the most part, plays a bigger role than we think in our journey, and in our lives. Even if said person is only around for a short period of time. Impact is not measured by the length of time, but by the magnitude of change or growth it ignites in us, that serves our highest good. I can however, dedicate this shoutout to a specific book. I must say, even as an actress, I haven’t been brought to tears by many movies or books. This book I am about to mention, took me through all the feels, highs, and lows of emotion as I read it. The book is ‘The Alchemist’ by Paulo Coelho. This book taught me that what I was chasing this entire time, is already here. No need to go on this huge scavenger hunt to find ‘it’. Even after I finished reading the book, it took months for that idea to click for me (talk about hard headed, haha). My favorite theme throughout the book, is about following the signs the universe sends you. I am huge on signs, so this resonated with me deeply. There is a beautiful lesson to be learned in this book. So I highly recommend reading this one.
