Meet Taylour Ball | Social Media Manager & Strategist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylour Ball and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Taylour, putting aside the decision to work for yourself, what other decisions were critical to your success?
That I am worth it. I am worth starting my own business and leading my own life. I was so tired of trying to put on this face of my life being perfect. It wasn’t, and I burnt out in the process.
I help women step into their value and express themselves through social media marketing and strategy. I think as a society women are always taught to question themselves, their views, and their dreams. I don’t want this to be anyones’ reality. There’s too many years wasted trying to be perfect for everyone or to have the “American Dream” life. I’m honestly over it.
There’s not a ‘right way’ to live or express yourself creatively. I help women rediscover their voice again and fall in love with their business. That’s my passion.
I wake up every morning and step a little further into my talent. That’s how I have created success. Small steps over a long period of time. It’s been the heart of my growth as a person and small business owner.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I found my talent by accident honestly. I am a 7th through 12th grade English teacher. I was substituting when the pandemic started and Ohio shut down. All the students were learning online. I told my significant other, Bryan, that I wouldn’t have a job to go back to on Monday morning.
He suggested working in the warehouse of his building packaging medical supplies, so I did that for three months. I didn’t love it, but it was a job. When they were about to lay me off, they mentioned a secretarial job at their sister company, so I interviewed for it. My former boss found out I was an English teacher and asked me to rewrite their website and manage their social media and blog posts.
I took the job and started managing and strategizing social media with my friends who owned small businesses in the area. I am self taught. That’s how I started my business, and I quit corporate a year later. It hasn’t always been easy, but I wouldn’t change my life for the world. I am excited to start a new chapter of my business and become a life coach. I don’t know how this will look quite yet, but I am looking forward to the future.
I set my own morning rituals, and I honestly love working with my clients. I exclusively work with women owned small businesses. I want women to know that they are so valued and capable of doing anything their hearts desire. That’s the reason why I keep going even in hard times – I love advocating for women and their talents.
