We had the good fortune of connecting with Teig and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Teig, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
Just how hard the crews work on these sets.

These a re gruelling shoots – 9 days, 12 hours a day. The actors are expected to pull a lot of weight on screen, but to even get to that point there is just so much work to be done. I truly admire the effort that goes into making films. I have met some of the most incredible and talented creatives on sets – from wardrobe people to set designers and dressers, so cinematographers and gaffers who play with light in ways I’ve never thought of. The final result on screen is the product of hundreds of minds all pulling their own weight – its so awesome!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As an actor, its never “easy”. But to me, that has been a great part of the journey – I have worked consistently and diligently to craft not only my career itself, but also the life I live that allows it. I have always believed that the most meaningful things in life often start from within – that all the work you do externally in the world must also be balanced internally. To ensure this, I have a strong spiritual and philosophical basis to me work – I know why I am doing my work, and what I want to achieve. I have interrogated these things and accepted where they stem from within me.

Ultimately, what this does is puts me in a position of advantage down the line. I am prepared for opportunities when they come – so when my craft and talent opens a doorway for me, my mentality and philosophy can keep up and not miss out.

I think this has lead to some truly incredible opportunities in my career, and has absolutely ensured my ability to take them. You string several of these opportunities together, and you’ll develop a reputation and a career between you.

Jen has been honestly the lifeblood of Vertical (Micro Drama) fanbase for the last year – she has created such an overwhelmingly wonderful community around her, and has worked tirelessly to make the space as open and available to the entire fanbase as possible. There has been a beautiful response to this – you can really sense that the community is developing its own identity within the film industry, and these fans are close to the heart of it. The numbers that these projects are pulling are testament alone to the huge power of the fanbase.
Of course, she also founded the Vertical Drama Love Fan Awards, which gathered over 16k votes globally!
Jen has truly changed so many peoples lives and brought so much light to the Vertical film space – she deserves the shout out for sure!
