We had the good fortune of connecting with Tessah Montoya and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tessah, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Art has always been a fundamental aspect of my life, serving as a creative outlet for my thoughts and emotions since childhood. I’ve always found solace in art. It’s a place for me to express myself in a way that words have often failed to do. It is very cathartic and helps me make sense of the world around me. As time passed, my love for art grew and I found myself increasingly drawn to the idea of pursuing a career in the arts. I wanted to create pieces that could inspire others, elicit an emotional response, or offer a unique perspective on the world. The idea of pursuing a career in the arts was both terrifying and exciting, and I was determined to make it work.
As I delved deeper into the world of art, I began to connect with like-minded individuals who shared my passion. We formed a community that centered around our shared interests, inspiring each other and providing a platform to showcase our work. This sense of camaraderie and creative unity was immensely fulfilling, and it fueled my passion.
I am tremendously grateful for all the opportunities I’ve had (or will have in the future). Through my art, I can share my ideas and emotions with others and hopefully touch their lives in a meaningful way. For me, art has been a constant source of joy and fulfillment in life, and I look forward to continuing on this path, exploring new ideas, and pushing my creative boundaries.
I am proud to say I am actively living out my truth & fully embodying my creative passion while on this journey called life. By sharing my art and connecting with like-minded souls, I hope to help build a network of support and empowerment. We can work together to raise consciousness, spread light, and manifest a more beautiful reality.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a multimedia artist who embraces the power of human emotions & the conscious mind. I aim to provoke thought, stir emotion, and ignite inspiration through my creativity. My goal is to empower others to tap into their innate power and ability to transcend the illusions of the material world so we can reconnect with our true selves and remember our purpose.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Luckily, living in the South Bay peninsula there is no shortage of coastal views, museums, and some of the best food to keep you well entertained. Day one would have to start with picking up a couple of sandwiches from my favorite local spot “Busy Bee’s” in San Pedro, and taking them up the coast for a picnic at Point Vicente. Day two we’d visit Long Beach’s shoreline drive and spend some time at the Aquarium of the Pacific followed by dinner at the marina. Day three is all about a day at Manhattan Beach and watching the sunset. The next couple of days we would spend exploring museums and checking out any local events going on at that time, there’s always something.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost I’d like to express my gratitude toward my mom. I am beyond blessed to have had an endless support system throughout my journey of self-realization and creative expression. I also had the opportunity to forge impactful bonds with creatives both locally and across the globe that includes painters, performers, designers, and other types of creatives. Through these connections, I have found inspiration to share my journey as an artist and do my part to help empower one another to new creative heights. This unwavering support has been a driving force behind my success and has given me the confidence to pursue my art career.
