We had the good fortune of connecting with The Blueprint Productions and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Blueprint team, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
We met on set a couple years ago and since then worked on many projects together for celebrities and international publications. Our group dynamic was quickly noticed by talent and their teams and we were highly regarded for our professionalism and creativity. We developed not only a business relationship, but a sisterhood and quickly became friends. After toying around with the idea of starting a company together, we took a leap of faith and we founded our commercial and editorial production company, The Blueprint Productions.

What should our readers know about your business?
The Blueprint Productions is a POC women owned production company. We produce top tier content for brands, celebrities, and creatives. Our company values passion over profit and quality over clout. With our emphasis in client relations, we differentiate ourselves by delivering exceptional results while building long lasting relationships. We prides ourselves on creating a platform that provides opportunities for other creatives across multiple media channels.

We each have our story on how we came to be creatives in our own right. Coming into the industry with no connections but the ones we have made for ourselves was definitely a challenge. It took a lot of grunt work, long hours, and trial and error.

Throughout our careers we have learned the value and importance of inclusivity and transparency in the creative space.

We named our company The Blueprint Productions because we want to be the model for creative business practices. When you follow a blueprint, you follow a set plan to reach a shared goal. We plan to run our business as an example to young entrepreneurs everywhere that they can turn their ideas into their livelihoods and make an impact while making an income.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Starting our company was a big risk for all of us. Without each other The Blueprint Productions would not have come to be. We are each other’s support system and are thankful for what we all bring to the table with different talents, skill sets, and scopes of capabilities. We all mentor each other within our respective fields and credit each other for our contributions.
