We had the good fortune of connecting with Tigran Nersisian and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tigran, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Recently, I was thinking about the main factor behind Byulor Films’ success and popularity, and I realized that we stand out with the way we treat our clients and their projects. It might sound cliche, but I notice many companies treat their clients as money. Of course, video production is a business, and we are motivated to make a lot of profit. However, once we sign the contract with the client, money isn’t the motivating factor anymore. We focus on creating a product that our clients will use to accomplish their goals. Sometimes, our clients have no idea what they want, and they come to us confused and desperate. Our job is to offer the client not the most expensive services and products but the ones that would benefit them the most. We tell our clients that creating their video becomes our responsibility the moment we sign the contract. We haven’t had a single unhappy client because of our approach described above. I think it’s relevant for any business.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Having my own video and film production has been a long dream since I was 15 years old. Back then, we lived in a Russian provincial city where I could only dream about it. After moving to the U.S. in 2013, my dream transformed into a goal that I started working on tirelessly. In 2017 I got admitted to my dream film school UCLA TFT where I graduated with B.A. in film directing in 2019. That was when I started seriously thinking about creating my own business. I realized that to grow bigger, I had to invest in high-quality equipment. Right after doing that, small underpaid gigs slowly turned into big-budget projects. The biggest project we have done so a live stream production organized by Legionfarm with the legendary martial arts fighter – Khabib Nurmagomedov. It was a truly proud moment but at the same time a very responsible moment for Byulor Films. When half a million people are watching live, there is no room for mistakes. What sets us apart from others is that we take pride in our work. Byulor Films will go bigger and very soon we will be producing films commercially.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite place in LA is San Gabriel Mountains. I often go there to be with nature—also, the best views of LA are open from the Mount Wilson peak.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Besides solid family support, self-care helps me climb the steps of success. By self-care, I mean taking care of my mental and physical health enough so that I can get productive and creative in my work. I have my so-called toolbox, which consists of different activities and techniques that increase my life quality. Running, meditating, hiking, biking, reading are some of my favorite “tools.”
