We had the good fortune of connecting with Timothy, Mory Amankwah, Diakite and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Timothy, Mory, what role has risk played in your life or career?
We strongly believe that risks are necessary for achieving our desired goals. We view risk taking as an important aspect for success in our personal lives and business because each time we release new clothing, we are taking risks. There is always the thought of uncertainty but no matter the outcome, the process along the way helps us grow and teaches us to be resilient.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
High Roller Club as a brand tends to stand out because of how we go about creating our designs. We taught ourselves how to use adobe photoshop to create our own designs. We also manipulate different concepts and try new things which makes us very passionate about everything we create. Getting to where we are now has been a long journey and there is still a lot of work that still needs to be done. A few challenges that set us back would be manufacturing and delayed postal services causing us to delay our drop days, etc. We overcome these challenges by being transparent with our customers to ensure professionalism as a company. We want the world to know that we thrive for High Roller Club to be versatile and create clothing that everybody can wear no matter their style.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would take them to Soho if we are in New York or Melrose if we are in Los Angeles. We’d pick New York or Los Angeles for the simple fact that there is a ton of stuff to do. Soho is a staple for fashion that has a variety of shopping locations from District 1 to Round Two, which are two of our favorite spots to buy sneakers from. After shopping, we’d take them out to eat at Prince St. Pizza which in our opinion is the best pizza in the city. Melrose is another spot similar to Soho because of the creative vibe it has to offer. There are many stores on Melrose like Cookies n Kicks which is a dope spot for people who are looking for streetwear clothing. To grab something to eat we’ll take them to Big Momma’s Kitchen which sells amazing soul food. The energy in these two places is enough to make someone want to spend more time there if they need to!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We recognize that we owe a majority of our inspirations and creativity to the City That Never Sleeps. New York is such a vibrant, diverse, unique, and culturally open city that we believe builds character. When we were old enough to start taking the train on our own, we would go and explore the city. We would notice how flashy and fashionable people dressed. We always admired them for putting different colors, textures, and prints together to create outfits that they used to express themselves. Incorporating this aspect of expression really helped us develop High Roller Club as a streetwear clothing brand.
