We had the good fortune of connecting with Tina Avedissian and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tina, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The pandemic served as a turning point for me, pushing me to finally pursue my dream of starting my own business. For as long as I can remember, I had been passionate about being in the kitchen, but life and responsibilities always seemed to get in the way. The uncertainty and reflection during the pandemic made me realize that life is too short to put off my passions any longer. I knew it was now or never. Beyond my own love for baking, I wanted to create something that I could pass down to my children—a business they could take pride in and one that would leave a legacy. That’s when I decided to take the leap and start Tasty by Tina. It felt like the perfect time to turn my passion into something real, something that could make an impact, not only for my family but for others who appreciate high-quality, flavorful crisps. Starting this business was both a personal dream realized and a step toward securing a future for my family.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My work is rooted in a passion for creating a unique and versatile product that stands out in the market. What sets my brand apart is the dedication to quality and authenticity—delivering something so delicious that it truly speaks for itself. Word of mouth has been my greatest ally, alongside a commitment to transparency and a deep love for food. These have been the essential ingredients that have propelled my business to success.

Getting to where I am today wasn’t without its challenges. In any journey, obstacles arise, but I believe it’s how you face and learn from them that defines your growth. Every challenge has taught me something valuable, whether it was about improving my product, connecting with my audience, or refining my process. The key has always been to stay focused on the next step and keep moving forward.

The thing I’m most proud of is the community that has grown around my brand. Seeing people enjoy and share my product is a constant source of excitement and motivation. I’ve learned that when you pour your heart into what you create and stay true to your vision, the results are not only rewarding but also deeply fulfilling.

What I want the world to know about my story is that it’s built on passion, perseverance, and a belief in the power of good food to bring people together. My journey is a testament to the idea that when you stay committed to your values, success follows naturally.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
When I think about who deserves the most credit for inspiring my journey with Tasty by Tina, it’s without a doubt my mom and grandmother. Growing up, our kitchen was the heart of our home, and some of my favorite memories are the hours I spent by their sides, watching and learning. Whether it was the perfect pinch of seasoning or the way they always seemed to know when something was done just by its smell, their passion for cooking wasn’t just a skill—it was an act of love.

They didn’t just teach me how to bake; they showed me how food can bring people together, how a homemade pie could light up someone’s face, and how a family recipe could carry stories and traditions. It’s that same love and care that I pour into everything I make at Tasty by Tina. To me, baking isn’t just about the ingredients—it’s about creating moments that people will cherish. And for that, I’ll always be grateful to the two women who taught me that food made with love can create memories that last a lifetime.
