We had the good fortune of connecting with Tina Germain and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tina, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness
That most frightens us.

We ask ourselves
Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.

Your playing small
Does not serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking
So that other people won’t feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine,
As children do.
We were born to make manifest
The glory of God that is within us.

It’s not just in some of us;
It’s in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine,
We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we’re liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.”

~ Marianne Williamson

Hands down my favorite quote, and I have so many I love! I first heard this in the ‘90s and had my Mom write it in calligraphy so I could frame it.

It’s a reminder to be the light that we truly are. To be our bigger selves, rather than the small, scared self who lives in doubt or imposter syndrome. To own our unique gifts and talents and let them shine.

This quote has been a guiding principle not only in my own life, but in how I work with clients and what I teach in my blogs and videos. My goal is to empower others by releasing their fears and reminding them of who they truly are, and the magnificence of their light. Marianne Williamson speaks to the necessity of this so beautifully.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At its core, I do clairvoyant energy and light work. Meaning, not only can I psychically “see” what’s going on with a client, but I also then use light to release the stuck energy and bring them into greater coherence within themselves. I use light the way a tuning fork healer uses sound. I also have strong intuitive senses of hearing, knowing and feeling information so I’m not just seeing it psychically. Sometimes past lives come up to be healed, sometimes loved ones who’ve passed pop in. I never know what to expect and greatly enjoy helping others overcome their obstacles to become more of their Truer Selves.

I got where I am today from decades of training in different healing modalities, ever learning and expanding. It takes clearing out one’s own stuck places to truly be effective at helping others. One needs to do their own work with their shadow, their ego, their inner child etc. continually, not just resting on their laurels. That’s part of the fun, the more I grow and expand in my personal life, the more I watch my clients blossom as well. I’m the guide taking them on a journey through their inner terrain. And again, I needed to do that for myself first.

A healer friend likes to remind me that a healer isn’t someone without problems, they’re someone who has discovered elegant solutions.

Right now, I’m most excited about a class I’m launching in October for women to connect them to their feminine power, while clearing the scars of the patriarchy. We’ll clear past lives of pain to ultimately bring in greater present time empowerment. I’m also excited about a book I wrote that’ll be released next year!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting in the summer, hands down we’d go to the Hollywood Bowl to see The LA Phil play. We have season tickets and packing a picnic to go early and enjoy time with my husband and daughter is one of our favorite things to do! Of course, with company in town, we’d swing by Musso and Frank first for a martini.
We’re big supporters of music so Fever LA has Candlelight concerts that are amazing! And we’d happily support the youth orchestra, Civic Orchestra of LA, that the brilliant Anthony Parnther is the conductor of.
Seeing an outdoor movie through Street Food Cinema is also a fun way to spend the evening.
Food wise, there are so many great places, and we’re big foodies so we try the new places. However, there are places I find we go back to over and over. I would definitely take her to Little Door. The ambiance and food are amazing. The pizza restaurant at Eataly has the best gluten free pizza in town. I crave that pizza, and I’ve tried a lot! Plus on certain evenings, they do fun events such as wine tastings. Pace in our neighborhood of Laurel Canyon is always fun and fantastic. And finally, Curtis Stone’s restaurant Gwen is incredible.
Otherwise, lots and lots of hikes!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout easily goes to my husband. While there have been so many instrumental teachers, mentors, and fellow healers in my life who I’ve learned from and who inspire me continually and help me when I need, really, I couldn’t have launched a business without the unwavering support of my husband.

When I told him I wanted to create my own business, he was completely nonplussed and told me it was about time. He saw in me what I didn’t yet see in myself. His incredible belief in me and my gifts propelled me forward. He has pushed me to expand and trust in myself. His love is the springboard from which I leap.
