Meet Ting Ting Guan | Energetic Movement Specialist & Founder of GuanJing Method

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ting Ting Guan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ting Ting, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
I am endlessly inspired by the intelligence and beauty of Nature. The rhythmic dance of the seasons, the quiet magic of night turning into day, the lunar cycles, birdsong at dawn—all are sacred reminders of the great cosmic breath that pulses through everything. From winter’s stillness and death to spring’s vibrant renewal, Nature reveals the primal current of life force energy—Qi—that animates all living beings.
This is the power that nourishes our vitality and allows the Soul to radiate through our skin.
In a world overflowing with technology, filters, and constant distractions, Nature calls us home. She reminds us that life, and joy, are inherently simple. When we attune to the cycles of the Earth—our own inner tides aligning with the outer—we return to clarity, purpose, and deep contentment. True happiness isn’t manufactured. It blooms when we honor the Natural world, and remember that we are not separate from it—we are it.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is a devotion to the body, breath, and Spirit—a living expression of the dance between inner stillness and vitality. This was the biggest breakthrough I had since growing up with an eating disorder and an abusive upbringing that stripped me from trusting myself and my intuition.
I’ve spent over two decades exploring movement as a gateway to healing, joy, and freedom. What sets my work apart is the fusion of Ancient wisdom and modern embodiment.
I’ve channeled this movement from a place of great pain. I was in a very low place in my life when this movement came effortlessly pouring out, I started practicing this organic movement in public places and the people who watched me were so curious as to what it was I was going. They asked to learn as well, and from simple demand I created a new movement form.
My students say that it moves like dance, heals like Qi Gong and strengthens like Pilates. I eventually began calling it GuanJing Method- which means the essence or spirit of the mountain pass. Moving through lifes challenges with the graciousness of the wind and water flowing through the most challenging mountains.
It’s more than just movement—it’s a ritual, a return to the self, and a celebration of life force energy, or Qi.
I’m most proud of seeing how this work has touched people around the world. Whether it’s helping someone reclaim their body after trauma or guiding them into deeper connection with their Soul or even healing chronic pain- witnessing those shifts humbles and inspires me every single day.
The path wasn’t easy. In fact, it’s been filled with both beauty and challenge. This new movement is something that doesn’t quite “fit” into conventional wellness boxes, I’ve had to trust my own rhythm, stay true to my vision, and move through many seasons of uncertainty, and financial struggle. I’ve learned that integrity, creativity, and resilience are my true compass—and that honoring my own cycles, just like Nature does, is the key to sustainable growth. The deeper I trusted the Universe, and more I invested time, energy , and money into the movement- the more I got back from it.
If there’s one thing I want the world to know about me and my work, it’s this: You are your own healer. Your body holds Ancient Wisdom. And when you move in harmony with Nature, you awaken your true vitality.
My story isn’t about perfection—it’s about presence, curiosity, and remembering that believing in ourselves is the most powerful catalyst for changing our reality.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Lets do a weekend trip, as well as take into account the damages LA has faced after the fires.
Immediately I would get out of the city and head to my neighborhood Topanga Canyon. I would start with the most divine breakfast at Topanga Living Cafe, and grab one of their best almond croissants for the road.
I would then head to Red Rocks trailhead and enjoy time in nature, the hike is absolutely breathtaking. There is water in the creek bed as well and the best views of the mountains and savouring the spring flowers and get some photos in.
Then I would drive into Topanga and eat dinner at Inn at the 7th Ray. Its been around since the 70’s and it has the best local organic food with the most stunning views of the creek. Their dining area is literally in the middle of the woods and you are surrounded by trees, ambient candle light, and super cozy seating. Afterwards their fun shop called Spiral Staircase has a great collection of book, crystals, jewelry and more to look at.
The next day I would head down to Venice and get some “city” action in. I love to take people to Abbot Kinney rd to browse the shops. My favorite place to splurge is Wabi on Rose, they have high quality sushi and one roll with gold dusted on top.
If its Sunday I would end the afternoon with joining the LA Ecstatic dance event set right on Venice Beach, dance the eve away and watch sunset with the group before grabbing a yummy organic dinner at the local Erewhon and have fun checking all the new local skincare products they have.
The last day I would take a trip to Malibu and get amazing Mexican food at Lilys Malibu before heading to Zuma beach the day and go for a long beach walk with my dog who loves to chase seagulls. There is a spot to watch the rock climbers scale the side of the wall to the left of the beach. When you walk past them you can also climb around the rocks. Its a lot of fun, and there is plenty of room on the beach without it feeling too crowded.
Afterwards I would treat myself in that area to Sunlife Organics, they have the best smoothie bowls and smoothies.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to give a shoutout to my yoga teacher Everett, who not only saw my potential, but guided and taught me to be a great teacher and leader. He endlessly inspired me with words of Wisdom, and helped me to cultivate patience and safety in my journey through the spiritual realm.
