We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiona Deniece and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiona, how do you think about risk?
Without risk there is noeen a stru reward. I think risk taking has taken a huge role in my career. I think I would have missed out on a lot of opportunities had I not made certain sacrifices or taken on some risk. And doing it when you’re scared. Not everything is gonna feel good when you’re risking it all you’re gonna be afraid or the outcome and that’s ok. Maybe it will work out maybe not, but that’s all a part of the journey.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m a singer first. Music has always been a major part of my life, ever since I was a little girl. I’ve always been into sneakers and one day I decided to start posting my collection, talking about my love for kicks. It propelled me into hosting and interviewing (something I’ve also loved since college). It’s been a struggle, I’ve lost a lot of people along the way, but ai keep going bc me making it is bigger than me

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would say let’s go sneaker shopping first of all! Let’s go to Versus ATL, then Goodtimes, swing by Wish and then Soleplay!

For food we have to grab a slice at Edgewood pizza

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
S/O to my Dad and my Grandmother. They will always fuel me and keep me going. I pray everyday I continue to make them proud.
