We had the good fortune of connecting with Tracy Lopez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tracy, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to create a fun place where everyone would come work out and feel loved and accepted. A place with an environment and culture that highlighted other instructors and their talents while supporting and uplifting other small businesses in the area.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
One thing that sets me apart from others is that I like to work with with anyone including other businesses. I don’t see anyone or any other businesses as competition but i see them as friends, working together for one goal to uplift people and help them with anything they are going through. I’m excited to see what Active 7 Fitness grows into. We have made so much progress in such a short time and everybody is having so much fun and that energizes me. I really want this place to be known. I Love what I do and my goal is to lift up other instructors and if you’ve been told other places you can’t do something I want this place to be the place for you. I want everyone to be able to showcase their talents they have.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Wow, there are so many place here in Southern California. Maybe first on my list would be wine tasting in Temecula for one day. Next stop would be the beaches of New Port and finish of the night at either Mastro’s Steakhouse or Javier’s in New Port. One day could be a day in downtown LA hitting up Olvera street and having a beef dip sandwich at Philippe’s. Another great dinner spot I have found in Claremont is Uno Tre Otto for farm to table food. Some great local spots in Glendora are Crust and Crumble for great treats and also Classic Coffee for a good mom and pop coffee shop. Frisella’s Roastery has amazing barbeque! There is an awesome wine shop CocoVino Glendora that you can buy and sip wine with two sommeliers. There’s just so many places that I can go on and on.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shoutout to my parents that have always loved and supported me in everything I do and kept me in dance classes since I was a little girl while cheering me on along the way. They always taught me to put God first in everything I do and to treat others with love and respect. And to my Loving husband for supporting and helping my dream come true.
