Hi Treasure, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
In the beginning, I started with a desire to give my children a better and more lavish life than I was given. I wanted to be a boss – but not just a boss, a Boss with a Purpose! I needed to create generational wealth. One of the most important factors behind my new business, Nu Energy Spa, is consistency and well-being. I’ve created a fool proof business that solves a problem, addresses a self-care need, and one that I can monetize. None of this came without hard work and determination. I had to make a conscious decision to stick on this journey no matter the obstacles or how hard it got. Goals may seem unattainable because we believe they are. I changed my mindset to be more intentional, and that was the best thing I’ve done for the success of my business

What should our readers know about your business?
I’m excited to introduce my new mobile oasis for wellness and rejuvenation. Nu Energy Spa is a one-of-a-kind mobile wellness center specializing in holistic treatments and therapies to rejuvenate and restore women of all ages and ethnicities.

Nu Energy Spa was crafted with a focus on offering a wide selection of therapeutic, relaxing and restorative treatments for women by bringing natural and organic services to them in the form of “Boho Chic Packages” giving opportunities to nurture the womb, body, and soul. Treatments available include organic yoni steaming, full body detoxification, teeth whitening, cupping therapy, a pink himalayan salt room and cool mist chromotherapy.

Nu Energy Spa will exceed your expectations of #Sparty options in the coming year! A Sparty is a private spa party and I have created healing packages that are perfect for any event, birthday, self-care day, or bridal shower.

Wellness is my niche, and the success of my brand TreasureGemz has sponsored the launch of this new brand, Nu Energy Spa. The last 18 months during COVID has been rough on everyone and especially small businesses. I was limited in offering TreasureGemz services as widely as before, so I decided to create a comfortable and relaxing setting where I can bring
wellness services to my clients all over the Los Angeles area. No successful business is built overnight and sometimes you have to go through many revisions to get it right, but it’s worth it in the end. My brand has revamped and is now stronger than ever!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
A week in LA is so much fun! When my best friend visits, we always make a point to do something different to explore the many things and places LA has to offer.

A perfect week for us would start with my normal routine, because routines cannot be broken, right?!

We would start our day early with a hike on one of LA’s trails, there are so many to choose from and we can pick a new one each day. Runyon Canyon would definitely be a must on our list! We would then have a great lunch at one of the many great restaurant choices ranging from seafood to soulfood and find a nice sunny beach spot to relax and get tans – El Matador or Venice beach, and maybe even Will Rogers if it’s early enough. El Matador State Beach is a must see!

If you love to shop like me and my best friend, we will stop by Rodeo or Topanga Mall because the selection is extensive. Swim lessons at the YMCA and hanging out at the Santa Monica are very chill and fun things we would do, including bike riding, games and of course good food.

At least one night we’d have dinner in Santa Monica or in West Hollywood on Sunset, everything is good and they have so many great options like Katana or BOA, I’ve had both and I would recommend them to anyone. If you are into Asian fusion then Tao is the place to be. The food and environment is amazing. Going to the Santee Alley on the weekends you will catch some great sales and great people. Melrose is a popular location to visit with exclusive stores and food. I love the Melrose Trading post as well. Everything about LA is a vibe from comedy shows to movie releases.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Throughout my life I have a long list of people who deserve more than a little credit and recognition. I’m so very thankful for my team of family and friends who have supported me, even through challenges, and times when I didn’t support myself. The life of an entrepreneur comes with so many ups and downs that you truly have to be ready to lay it all on the line. There were times where I felt like giving up, but I’m blessed to have so many people in my life pushing me to my greatest potential.

I give major credit to my spouse who is my biggest supporter in everything that I do. In addition to my friends, who serve as free therapists when I’m having my bad days, and my family who keep me smiling through my tears and any heartache. No one does anything alone, and I’m no exception.
