We had the good fortune of connecting with Treisa Gary and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Treisa, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
Since I can remember, I’ve always been interested in the journey of the human spirit and all things personal growth. For my 40th Birthday, I treated myself to a private spiritual retreat in Ojai, CA. I was going through so much at the time and just by stepping on the grounds of the retreat property, I knew something different was happening to me.

It was an amazing, healing experience and it transformed me. By the end, I knew…THIS was what I wanted to help other artists do too…to find peace in their lives. Because my retreat experiences heightened my personal and professional life, I was able to incorporate the tools I gained, into my actor coaching business. Over the course of my career, I’ve created 4 transformational programs for artists and non-artists, to explore who they are and heal their lives along the way.

All that to say, my end goal is to hold private spiritual retreats for people, where they can have a safe, supportive space to heal, expand and enjoy creating from their most authentic soul. In that way, they’ll have the most purposeful life and career, and so will I. I’m currently looking for the house to create the amazing space to do this work in. That’s where I intend to be by the end of my career…helping people bring peace to their lives.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
By profession, I’m an actor, coach, author & Reiki Master. Personally, I’m a person who inspires and empowers others to reach their highest self.

What sets me apart from others is my energy. People always say that I make them feel comfortable and safe.

I am most proud and excited to have the opportunity to experience the unknown of life…you never know what’s gonna happen. I never expected my accounting career to lead to an acting & coaching career and for that to lead me to energy healing.

I transitioned from sharing the crazy experiences of my life to my co-workers from behind an accounting cubicle, to sharing the imaginary circumstances of life to the world, in front of a camera, to now helping others master their emotions. Nothing about it has been easy and the only way to overcome challenges, is to never give up.

There are so many lessons… I can only sum that up by saying, “experience is everything”. What I mean is, we don’t truly know anything until we experience it and even then, we still discover that we don’t know anything! Lol.

What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that it’s always about delivering the truth, because that’s all that matters. In the famous words of the Ella Fitzgerald tune, “T’ain’t what you do, it’s the way that you do it…that’s what gets results”.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First of all, I’d make a terrible tour guide because I can be pretty introverted. Hopefully they have some things they’d like to do and see on their own. I say that with love. 😉 But if I wanted to show someone the best time ever, I would start at home with meditation & yoga, then a home cooked breakfast..poolside. That would top off the morning. I’d follow that with a visit to The Peace Awareness Labyrinth & Gardens, lunch at a cute cafe, maybe a visit to a crystal store, Mexican food for dinner, ending the night with meditation, good wine and healing conversation. The most fun, interesting, exciting people, places or things to check out are the ones that mirror your interests. I enjoy hikes, roller skating, outdoor concerts, spending time with friends. I can have fun anywhere though. Fun is in the heart! The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Wow. Honestly, I’d have to say every person I’ve ever met and every moment I’ve experienced has led to my successes. It’s all connected and I’d hate to miss anyone. But without a doubt, my #1 shout out goes to my Mother for loving & accepting me for who I am at all times, for being open to letting me be free to express myself and to make my own decisions, even if she didn’t agree or understand my choices. She was my only true unconditional love.

Shout out to my friends & relatives for sharing their lives, love & support and for opening their homes to me during my times of transition. Shout out to all of my acting teachers, casting directors, agents, managers and healing practitioners whom I continue to learn from, to harness my talents and feed my soul. A shout out to my coaching clients and others who trust my processes and allow me to share my knowledge & expertise.

A special shout out to my doctors for keeping me healthy enough to do it all. And of course, none of this would be possible without The Great Creator. I am truly blessed and grateful.
