We had the good fortune of connecting with Trey Ramsey and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Trey, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
One thing I would say is the process of getting everything done. When I mean done I mean done. It’s takes time to get materials, concepts etc. Also making sure your putting out quality as well.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Growing up in New York it wasn’t easy trying to find your passion. Always trying to separate your style & your vision from others. For me I’m into a lot of different stuff-for example Fashion Design, Creative Direction, Producing. All of this to me is form of Art in itself. What I’m most proud of & excited about is my upcoming Clothing Brand that will releasing in a couple of weeks. How I got to this point in my life honestly it wasn’t easy. I had to let a few friendships, relationships go just so I can grow as a person. I learned never have any one hold you back in life. I think this is lesson that you learn when you grow & get wiser. What I want the world to know about me
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When my friends come to visit in Los Angeles I’ve always try to make them feel much welcomed. The first thing would be for us to go grab breakfast when we land. It is this place in Santa Monica Called “ Bru Wiffles”. To me that is one of the best Chicken & Waffle spots in LA. For drinks we usually hit up my personal spot called The Dime in the Fairfax Area. It’s pretty small inside but the vibe is very much feels like NY because of the music etc… I love this place!!! To me one of the most interesting places to check out is by the Beach. I would choose either Long Beach, Malibu, Or Santa Monica. It is so chill over there. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shoutout a few people. First I would like to give Ralph Lauren a lot of credit. He is definitely an inspiration when it comes to fashion for me honestly. Being from New York City he was the fashion Icon. I also want to thank the Japanese Culture. These guys are so swagged out & unique with their fashion style. They can literally put anything together & make it look expensive.
