We had the good fortune of connecting with Trezere ” Zeus Stunna” Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Trezere ” Zeus Stunna”, how do you think about risk?
Risk taking is essential to achieving any difficult goal. When i first came to LA i took a risk of being homeless and possibly dying to search for a bigger opportunity in music

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets my music aside from most is the authenticity and the story being told i feel like the stories i have to share a fresh relatable and empowering, the music i make speaks to moods and feelings that we feel going through life thoughts that many are scared to speak on i say it with my chest. I’m most proud of my growth as an artist being able to reinvent myself every project and outdo myself is my biggest accomplishment, the ability to be better than my last version I’m super excited to share all the new material I’ve been working on with the world. To get where I am today took many nights sleeping on rooftops, many nights going spending all my money on decent clothes so i could network, many nights of loneliness and being misunderstood, it took heartbreak and doubt being placed on me and seeing through it all with hard work and persistence. Along the way I’ve learned to embrace the good and the bad within myself in my art because both can be lessons for the listener and who am I to only give the listener 1 dimension of myself when the human experience is a multidimensional existence. I want the world to know that I’m coming for everyone’s hearts, I aim to be the top of this genre and the music i make will connect to so many different kinds of people, my music will make you dress better, it’ll have you making more money, having more fun, having better sex, more emotional intelligence my music is more of what you needed from rap.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
first we’re gonna hike Runyon canyon early, then do brunch at H Cafe, low key k town banger, then we’re going shopping at Maxfield in west Hollywood followed by a run through TheRealReal make sure we’re ready for an LA Night, lunch at MR Charlie’s, then we’ll end off in apartment 200 that night, throughout the week shopping sprees and restaurant all through the grove the Beverley center, and Melrose shopping district of course we’ll catch some vibes DTLA, nightingale, station1640, highlight room just a few of the spot’s we’ll frequent for the week enjoy a stay Sofitel followed by Hollywood hills Airbnb enjoy the lagoons of malibu and grab dinner a Nobu, or Broad street oyster company, so many different experiences and adventures to find in LA based off what crowd you decide to connect with one of the most interesting things about this city

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
