Meet Tricia Brooks: Health and Wellness Coach, Online Global Health Business Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tricia Brooks and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tricia, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I have always had an extraordinary passion for health and wellbeing. Many people for years would come to me for advice on their health and it has always been one of my favorite things to do. From a young age my mother was facinated by the human body, nutrition and wellbeing. with her guidance and knowledge there were always aspects of health linked to everything we did in the household and from there I began my own facsination with energy, food, wellbeing and helping others feel the absolute best that they could possibly feel.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am a health and wellness coach that specializes in vitality, energy, and making health simple. Many walk around this planet never truly knowing how it feels to be vibrant and healthy. I believe the healthier we are the greater impact we can have on our communities, loved ones, and even the planet. When we feel great we show up differently. We are more likely to be kind, understanding, take extra care of others and work on our dreams. Health is at the core of every aspect of our lives. Daily I work one on one with clients to make health simple and digestible so that more people can implement healthier habits into their everyday life and have the opportunity to live their best life. Every business is effort based and takes many different experiences to grow as a whole. I have learned so many things from simply doing and not having the outcome I had hoped for. Thats truly where all the growing happens. That is apart of business, perseverance, and the ability to keep getting back up even when you really do not want to. Business to me is all about mindset, belief and consistent activity. Without these three things, no business can succeed. Now there are days that are rough and there are days that are euphoric but I personally am here to experience it all. The tough days always make me stronger and are a crucial part of human experience. They teach me resilience. So many of my lessons have been about my own disbelief in myself, taking negative people’s comments personally and letting it stop me in my tracks. But what I realized was that regardless of what I did there would always be people who didn’t like what I was creating so I might as well be authentic and aligned with what I believe in. I might as well go all in and live a glorious life and if they did not like it, well, that is their problem. What we say to ourselves daily about who we are and what we are capable of doing is paramount. I have worked so much on this and will always be working on this but we can never forget that almost all things in life are determined by what we say to ourselves about that topic. One’s health journey can impact us in so many more ways than we could ever imagine. What would our lives be like if we put our mental wellbeing and physical wellbeing at the forefront of everything we did? How could that drastically change the trajectory of our lives? There is so much more to this beautiful life of ours when we simply give ourselves the right environment to truly thrive and flourish. I’m am extremely excited to announce that I have a recipe book with my mum coming out very soon that is about making nutrient dense recipes easily and quickly. One does not have to be an excellent chef to create delicious, nutrient dense food for themselves and their family. Sending happy and healthy blessings!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to the beach of course, for a spiritual hike in Malibu, a Cafe Gratitude meal with all the amazing food, plus one of the films at the observatory in Griffith park. I would also take them all around Venice beach on bikes. We could pack a picnic, head to the Hollywood Cemetery for a themed film evening with food trucks and have a great time. I also love Huntington Gardens for another picnic and any of the museums in LA. Live music at the Troubadour is also a favorite of mine along with nights out with my girl’s in Weho. There are so many fun things to do in LA as long as one is willing to drive and park. I would also take her to a dance class in Atwater Village at Heartbeat House as it’s so much fun. I would also take her to a sound healing, crystal shop and some roof top location. I have met so many incredible people all over LA through events, and projects I’ve worked on.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my mum and dad. Cliche I know but without my mum’s entrepreneurial mindset and gumption and my father’s supportive encouragement and need for adventure, I would not be who I am today. My mum is a business powerhouse with two businesses and has always taught me that I can do anything as long as there is focus, intention and aligned action.
